What a weird theory.I never heard of male veelas or if you want it on english fairies.Maybe it's possible if they heired something from their mommy. But male veelas is like you say Ice dragon. It's a bit strange for me.

I like the theory that it only gets passed on through the females. Maybe guys can hold the gene, but aren't affected by it. Like, they can inherit the veela gene, but can't become veelas themselves.

Her mom married a non-veela, too. He was very average looking, but very kind.

oh then in that case there cant be pure veelas if all veelas had to mate with a regular man to have kids..

or maybe they mate with men with the veela gene to come up wth veela daughters and sons with the veela gene?

The healers don't use the same sciences and methods as muggle doctors, but that doesn't mean dna and genetics doesn't exist, it has to. The basic science is still the same, but the methods that each world takes to approach a sitution are different,

^ I agree. Wizards are just as human and mortal as muggles. If a wizard child fell on the ground and got hurt naturally, then muggle medicine would work. Muggle medeicine doesn't work in the wizarding world only because magic is used to create most injuries.

Yeah, in OotP Arthur was willing to try stitches, and as Hermione said, it would have worked but the snake venom might not be allowing the stitches to hold properly. And it's because of random things like snake venom and that make wizards and witches doubt muggle medicine. And it works both ways. If someone went up to a muggle with a potion that promises to regrow bones, they might doubt them, too.

The men with the gene, their fathers have been regular men too, if theres no man Veela, so no Veela is a pure-blood.

hmmm...

in that case there would be no such thing as a half veela...

oh i think that men just carry the veela gene, but dont manifest veela characteristics... but when they have daughters, their daughters become veela.
