Wondering if anyone can tell me where I could go to sell this signed harry potter book ? Its such a mission to list on ebay etc and I want it to go to a collector not a store. Its been valued at 1500gbp.

We have a copy of JK Rowlings Harry Potter and the Half blood prince, inside the cover on the first page is a sticker saying 16th July 2005 NOT FOR SALE JK ROWLING BLOOMSBURY This sticker is signed by JK ROWLING in pen. The copyright page says first edition 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2 Printed and bound in Australia by Griffin Press. First published in Great Britian.

half.com?

You don't have to pay to list it and it's related to/a part of ebay.

You should hang on to it, at least for a little while. Even if you don't want it... if you keep it in good condition it could be worth more someday.

Thats very true, but Im sure it would give a lot more enjoyment to a true collector or HP fan . My husband won it, and Im worried it will get wrecked or we wont store it properly and it will devalue.

i would advertise on craigslist or go to a book shop (not borders) but a collectors shop.

or amazon has listings but i dunno if any are signed

also, waiting a few years is a good idea for maximum price but dont hold onto it for too long because books dont sell too well unless theyre something (sorry jk) more special than HP, like an antique bible, etc.

and make sure you keep it in plastic and in a dark place because dust and sunlight can hurt a book.

wow that sounds great, and I know Lupin said he wanted to buy it and sorry to rain on the parade but.. I really would hold onto it. It will go way up in value if you keep it in good condition.

Then again, I bet Lupin will keep it safe =]

Hey, thanks for all the storage tips etc, I really appreciate it. I really would like to sell it though, I have had it "valued" by an online book store (we sent photos of the signature and front page etc) at 1500GBP. my email address is bancontracting@xtra.co.nz if you would like to contact me.

I would actually say Ebay, you would get heeps more money if people started to bid more and more, one time my mother sold this camera, she put it on for $80 and recieved $240, its so cool what money can so these days.
