All my friends hate Draco and use his hair as an excuse to hate him.
Or they say that's he acts like a little girl and such, but the hair excuse is the most common one I hear.

What do you think of Draco?

I think he's a poor, misunderstood lad. ): I truely think that there is a lot more to him than most people give credit him for.. I really see Draco not as a completely cruel child. You can blame his mentality on his raising, his parentage. He was raised to hate people different, raised to support Voldemort, raised to be the way he is... and I really believe that it was never his fault truly.

If his parents had been nicer.. if they hadn't been cruel.. I believe Draco could have been an extremely likeable boy in school.

And I like his hair. Such a pretty blonde color. :3

well his hair is no excuse to hate him.

its probably his derogatory marks that makes people hate him. i mean i dont care what he says to Harry but he is too mean to Ron about his family being poor and stuff..

plus he's so pompas

I would agree that he's mostly a victim of his upbringing - especially being an only child and having all the attention and all the influence heaped on him. (I'm not bagging on only kids - I'm an only myself)

How is his hair an excuse to hate him? Despite the fact that I do tend to favor dark hair (probably because that's what I have), I also really like that fair, cornsilk blonde color.

Gosh, I know. I really think he's just misunderstood! But that's true about the whole being-mean-to-Ron's-family, he just takes it way too far.

I wouldn't hate someone just because of their hair.

Draco is an arrogant, spoiled brat. He is mean, cruel and cold-hearted. He is lacking in depth, morals and conscience.

Yeah.. it is true. That's pretty much all I dislike him for, considering Ron is my favorite. ):

Well, I can't bring down that opinion, everyone obviously has an opinion of their own about Draco.

He`s the way he is because his father`s like that. He kinda has no choice. Lucius is a Death Eater who serves for Voldemort. Harry is their biggest enemy. Imagine what would Lucius do if Draco would be friendly to Harry or mud-bloods that are "supposed" to be destroyed? I never really had the impression that Lucius cared about Draco. Whereas Narcissa was the one who always stressed about him. Didn`t you notice in the 2nd movie when they were in the book shop after Lockhart`s "speach" or whatever and Draco was confronting them and suddenly Lucius came and Draco fell silent imediately. I think he`s kinda scared of his father. Like that. Smile

I think he is just a confused child who wanted to join Voldemort just cause of his father and his arogance.

He suffered much, but he could evict all those sufferings if he just acted other way.

I feel sorry for him and that is all.

Evil or Very Mad HEY!!!he was Not a child or a victim! didnt it occur to your heads that he'd chosen his line himself? and the way he'd chosen was a difficult one! he could have become a great man, a great wizard, could have changed the world! he didnt behave like a girl - he was cunning and clever (unlike potter and weasley)

Draco didn't choose his own path, not really. He only wanted to help Voldemort because his father was in Azkaban. Voldemort said he would release his father if Draco did his bidding. Voldemort set-up Draco to fail, which, in the end, he did because he could not bring himself to kill DD. Draco faltered and almost accepted DD's offer for protection. Draco hesitated too long and the Death Eaters came into the tower. So, no, Draco didn't choose his own path deliberately, he chose it blindly and with hesitation.

Because of that.. I really do think he's more a victim in all this. I do think he's scared of his father, if he was almost tempted to accept any kind of protection. Scared of and scared for. I mean, Lucius is family. Draco can't help but want to make Lucius proud just because of that, even if it means doing things he probably doesn't want to do.

I don't hate Draco. He was raised to hate Muggleborns, and he acted like that always. I felt really sorry for him when he had to kill Dumbledor. He was very confused and scared.

Draco was never truly evil in my eyes, not even in the 7th book. i think that it was shown a few times that he was deep down not evil. But like everyone else has mentioned, its the parents fault!

I luv draco, even though i am seen only with odd avatars of him.

it depends on the way u look at him! i think he's a strong character and that he had his own plan of fighting and vold (finally) and potter, plan to become a leader of mag. world.

didnt it occure to u that he behaved in that way intentionally, in order to mislead the others? they think: "that's only Malfoy! what can he do - he's a coward". and you'd better overrate your enemy - otherwise he'll win - so i think he knew this!

Actually i totally agree with you on that. If people were used to him having a big mouth but he acts like a coward when called on the carpet, it would allow him to do things without people suspecting him. Its hard to get caught if people dont suspect you if they think your all talk and just a coward.

But Harry always thought that Draco`s up to something. Besides Draco didn`t have to act. He WAS a coward! Period. lol
