Ever since I was let down by the first one, I never put much stock in the films. I watch them and try to enjoy the entertainment they previde, but I feel as if the point behind the books is lost in the translation from book to film. If they do happen to not put the cave scene in the final film, then I will lose all respect for the Harry Potter film series. I will tout their suckiness from the rooftops.

well on the only official teaser poster, it shows DD and Harry in a greenish cave...sooooooooo hopefully they won;t cut it although i doubt they would completely remove that scene. Maybe shorten it but not remove it comepletely.

they couldn't cut it because harry has to get the locket and it foreshadows the history of dumbledore. I really doubt they'd leave it out and they have to know they'd be murdered if they did.

It was? Oh, it looked really good!

But I don`t think they are gonna cut it. It`s really important!

yeh i feel what you are saying. it will make the books look stupid if they dont add every detail they can. I often wonder if the cast has actually read the books

well but they can`t put the whole book in the movie! Rolling Eyes then each movie would be like 6 hours. Mainly everythnig is the same, though I hate they give somethnig Moody said to someone else etc. and the litlle things are that matters.

I dont think that they are going to cut out anywhere near the same amounts that were cut out of the fifth and fourth movie. My main reasoning is that the sixth book is way shorter than the last two movies. The main problem with those two movies was that they cut a lot out. However, they had to because those to books were insanely long. (and they were wankers and wouldnt do a three hour movie) So since they do usually a 2 and half hour movie and because HBP is shorter, I am sure that scene will be there in tact. After all they need to make the movie two hours two and half hours long. Well, at least i hope they will still be that long.

no way would they cut it. totally ruin the whole concept of "memorible/favourite places" for voldy to put his horcruxes.. but maybe the producers dont really understand that..
haha

They always leave the frightening and exciting near-end scenes (Quirrel and the mirror in PS, Riddle and the Basilisk in CoS, the shrieking shack and the dementor attack in PoA, the graveyard in GoF and the deparment of mysteries in OotP). Those are also usually the best scenes in the movie, so this scene will probably remain intact.

EVERYONE CALM DOWN.

The cave scene will be in the movie, theres not doubt about that. If any of you guys watched the sneak peeks, you can see there's the cave scene where Dumbledore touches the cave walls with his green hand (CGI will make it black). Just slowly comb through the HBP sneek peak and you'll be able to know which scenes they've included. Besides, I've also read somewhere that Daniel is excited about how the Inferi will turn out, so its more than likely the scene will be in there. The scene has already been filmed!!! Or undergoing a bit of alterations, but for sure they've finished with the cave scene.

its silly to think they will cut the cave scene... its a huge plot point that connects to the 7th book... anything that deals heavily with horcruxes wont be cut.

They better not cut that scene, it's important. I'd be muchly dissapointed if they did.

Scenes that definately have to be in it...(in my opinion):
Sectumsempra
The Cave- and everything after that.

If they left any of that out I'll be VERY let down, considering how important all of those scenes are. This is the movie I've been anticipating the most, so I hope they do a good job of it and don't dissapoint!

I agree. I don't think they will cut out the cave part. I hope they don't cut out the Sectumsempra part.

(DH spoiler)
Spoiler:

That's the spell that made George loose his ear in the next one so they can't leave that out

You never know what they will leave out.

it would be impossible for them to cut the sectumsempra scene out, that is where Snape figures out about harry having the HBP potions book. there are a few scence that i think will be cut out that i feel are important to the books to progress, i feel they will definately cut out at least one memory, i have a sneaking suspiscion that slughorns xmas party might get cut, either katie bell and the necklace will get cutor ron getting poisened most probably katie and the necklace, madam malkins where the trio meet with malfoy and his mother.

what do you reckon? thats my personal opinion but i will be disappointed if any of these will be cut.

on a lighter note i'm glad quidditch will be back! Very Happy

I hope they keep the Sectumsempra part in. Even though it is where Snape figures out Harry has the HBP book doesn't mean they won't cut it out. I thought in Ootp the part in the hospital was important when they found out what happened to Neville's parents and when they listened in when they were talking to Arthur in his hospital room but they cut that out. You never know.

true, i believe that will be up to the idiots who direct, produce adn the writers. i remember that JKR said that Kreacher was to important to be left out of the OotP film but what was the point of grawp? in my opinion he was not too important later on in the books. back on to kreacher, it seems that his little "cameo" appearence in the film didn't do any justification to hgow important he is

Look, if you're scared if they'll leave out some scene, just wait and watch the movie... You don't have to go around the internet looking for spoilers to destroy your life Razz

i have proof that the cave scean is going to be in the movie.
go here and look at my pics i have found from the new movie and there is one from the set and they appear to be in a cave.

I don't think they will because I saw in this promo HBP poster, in the background was the cave scene. But, who knows? It would be death to the director if it IS cut.
