I started this discussion on mugglenet and was wondering what you people thought. The way it seems is that people liked the first two movies or the last two. it seems that more people like the last two movies but die hard fans liked the first two movies and hated the last two.

Mods: Im not sure where to post this as it refers to all the movies in general so feel free to move it.

I don't think they've gotten better or worse. It all depends on the director

(I'll move to Potter Polls Wink )

I think the movies are getting better. Just from the trailers, you really get into the mood of watching it.

i wouldnt know about ootp, but maybe its good. but i ddnt like gof. too many things have been left out. cos was nice, and poa was my fave. but i was extremely disappointed with gof. i really wanted to see the quidditch world cup and i was so sure it was gobnna come out. i wanted to watch it coz its professional quidditch, not amateur. and they were all on firebolts.

First time I watched PoA, I was really pissed off because a lot of stuff were left out, but it compensates for it by making me love it for the way it is. You might say my annoyance at so many missing details evaporated because of David Thewlis being there. Hehe.

well, i didnt really like (as in found handsome) any of the poa characters. i found the cos characters hotter, like tom riddle, and for some reason, gilderoy lockhart.

I think the movies are getting better so far.. although they do leave a lot of important things out.. which make me mad. Like in GOF they left the whole Winky thing out. i think they should of put that in there it was really important.

I think they're getting better for the readers. But they are forced to leave out so much (because of time of course), that if I hadn't read the books, I would find it hard to understand.

But of course some would argue that the movies are made for the ones of us that read the books...

But in general I would have to say they are getting better, and I can't wait for OOTP to come out

Well in my opinion da first 2 movies were the ones that were most like the books, the fourth movie wasn't as good because it made it seemed that Hermione liked Harry when it was at that books were she started liking Ron.

i think they are getting better but it's hard for them to get some of the good stuff in because the books are getting longer.

GOF was my fav because the characters were cuter even though there was no pro quidditch match.

i think they're getting worse. i liked the first two. the third was just o.O, nothing like i imagined and the fourth was way too different. i liked the voldie part though.

i didn't find them handsome either. gilderoy wasn't handsome like he was supposed too (even though he had the smile Laughing ). i didn't knew when i read poa, but they should have known when they made the cast, that sirius should be handsome and he isn't either. young sirius isn't so bad, but still meh.

No kidding on Sirius... in OoP he reminds me of Captain Hook from Hook with Robin Williams! He's looks like a friggin pirate and not a handsome man I hoped him to be.

The movies are getting definitely better for each new release.

At least Radcliffe is taking baby steps in his acting.

And the sets are better too. I like how it gets darker and darker every movie.

its getting better of course.. though i can agree to some of you.. i mean.. its very dissapointing that sometimes.. there are alot of scenes that had been left out.. i dont like GoF either.. i like Prisoner of Azkaban.. but before.. im so confused (the time that im not reading HP books yet..).. thats true that if you dont read the books.. you tend to be confused.. because there are so many things left out.... though.. im still not convinced with the way daniel acts.. but yes.. indeed.. hes getting better.. Very Happy (this is so long.. yet.. rubbish.. lol)
