ravvy and I try to count the active Huffies the other day... as it is you only have 3 pages of Huffies. And only about 5 or 6 active members. Maybe 7. Including you and ravvy.

It's the least popular for two reasons, in my opinion.
One reason is that the other Houses are just more popular. A lot of people LOVE Luna and the idea of being smart. Others enjoy being deliciously evil in Slytherin with badboy Draco. And then of course people are going to want to be in the same house as the trio and the other beloved characters. None of the Hufflepuff characters ever became popular among readers, except for Tonks. And not many people know that she was in Hufflepuff.
The other reason is that the Hufflepuffs somehow got a reputation for holding the "leftovers." Which is absolutely ridiculous... nowhere does it say that.

Nowhere in any of the songs does it say, "Send me the crappy kids with nowhere to go..."

You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,

For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;

Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot
And treat them just the same."

The last song sort of hints at that, but for anyone who heard the first two songs should know, Helga obviously meant that she would teach all the students and treat them equally, just as long as they were willing to do their work. She wasn't selective as the other 3 founders and was more about equality and fairness while the others chose to be selective and wanted to segregate the students based on certain traits.

lol. You have to be the most knowledgeable person on this site when it comes to Harry Potter. Hopefully more people read what you wrote and decide to join Hufflepuff.

I'm a proud Hufflepuff, too (heh, at least in my heart so far, but I'm joining you, sunny badgers, soon Smile

) and I think that the main reason why people don't like Hufflepuff that much is the famous "hero complex" - the HP books are mainly about Gryffindors. Almost all those great, awesome, cool, sexy etc. characters are Lions, and if by any chance they're not, they come out to be dark, awesome, cool and sexy Snakes. I like to think that we Badgers aren't ones to show off so much - we do what's needed when it's needed, but we don't need to be in a spotlight to lead a happy and content life. All we need is to have a great time with our friends, because we know that friendship is far more important than how often you run head-up to mortal danger with masochistic pleasure like Gryffindors do... or how many books you manage to read, or how many people you trick in order to get what you want.

We don't need much to be happy - I always believed Hufflepuff to be something like a House of Zen Wink

be happy and content with who you are, not with how much you have.

And btw, if you people want to kill each other, the spell is Avada Kedavra (see, we Badgers are not stupid or incompetent in Dark Arts XD )

For 50 % you are: Hmmm... let's see.... You're smart I see, but I don't think you'd do for Ravenclaw. And you wouldn't make the best Slytherin, no offence. Oh! I've got it! Welcome to . . . HUFFLEPUFF!

You could also get this result:
For 33 % you are: GRYFFINDOR! and Slytherin and Ravenclaw 8 % each...

Normally I am not a fan of wiki, but I went there anyway and found a few interesting facts I thought you guys might enjoy... about badgers...

Badgers belong to the same mammal family as the ferrets, the weasels and the otters.

Badgers can not yawn, their jaws don't allow that movement.

I really dont see why people dont like it? Its proubly because its not the most famous. I like it cause its not Evil, or Brave, or Intellegent its the Loyal ones who really count doesnt it? Hufflepuff is great and wonderful and Im proud to be one. Hufflepuff has had some chances In the Triwizard Tournament and such and other things. But Hufflepuff is really about being different from the others. You dont have to be Smart, Evil, or Brave to be someone. You can just be yourself and that is what Hufflepuff is all about.
