Inuyasha is pretty cool. I really like Sesshoumaru as a character (one could say that I used to be a rabid fangirl)

But once it was finished on TV, I felt lost. The manga is a lot better.

There is only 167 eps and 4 movies.

Nothin compared to one piece 326+ eps and 9 movies.

or Detective conan 400+ and 11 movies.

Anyway, I seen them all and been reading the manga. The series should be over in a month or two.

I watch Inuyasha sometimes... I gotta admit that I've been getting hooked on it the more I watch it.

Really this might be offensive to you guys, but I hated Inuyasha. I tried getting into it but I never found a plot in the series.

I've seen a lot of the show, but only because I used to watch it with a friend that loved the series. Honestly, I think the show is overrated and should have been ended a lot sooner than it did. I didn't like it too much.

That's Blasphemy!!!!

I paid somewhere around $400 for all the episodes, movies, and soundtracks.

It was worth every penny!

But as Cicero once wrote "ge gustitibus non disputendem est"
(concerning taste there can be no judgment)

Cheers,

Nick

I'll admit, the show had some great music, though.

I love InuYasha! I love the characters. My favorite characters would have to be InuYasha, Sesshomaru, Rin, and Miroku.

Really, I can see where people are coming from with their dislike of the series. It's really an elementary anime. I'm not trying to be insulting, but I think it's more of an anime that people start with and graduate from. The plot is easy to follow and the characters are very straightforward.

I started watching anime with this series, too. I got bored with it after the Shichinintai arc ('scuse me, I mean, the Band of Seven) because for me they were the best part, besides the old episodes. I could tell when they switched to tablet animation from cell animation. It annoyed me and it was inconsistent.

Did you all know that the manga finally ended?

Inuyasha was honestly the third anime I started watching, after Akazukin Chacha and Pokemon. Frankly I enjoyed those two more.. Inuyasha is kind of like those shows with "daily" villains, with a predictable plot for the most part. You may have some twists, but in the end you know what's going to happen. (Like DBZ!! Very Happy Except less standing and staring.)

The bad guy appears. Inuyasha goes in and tries to kill it normally with his sword - fails. So they sit/run around for an episode (sometimes have a staring contest) and Inuyasha decides to resort to the wind scar. This usually works, and everyone goes off happy. Very Happy yay!

But.. watching the same thing got old. So they gave him a new move: The Backlash Wave. Why use the old school windscar when you can take the power from another demon and shove it in his face? Still.. you know he's going to win. Maybe even get hurt a little.

And that's where I quit. I said, "Screw this. They haven't even started SCARING Naraku and it's on the 1 billionth freakin' episode." The fillers and arcs were horrible. I feel that if you need so much time - so many chapters, episodes, villains - the tell a good story, then it's not a story worth wasting time on. For me, real talent comes in making an awesome story - a worthwile epic - in a shorter series. This is why I hate popular(aka LONG) shows like Naruto and One Piece.

I'd rather watch a 26 episode series with minimal villains; characters that aren't strong because they are, but grow through a series; a wonderful plot, lots of twists.. my friend was obssessed with thise show. She loved it to death, and she wrote fanfiction, drew awesome fanart.. then she finished the anime.

It tore her, because the ending was awful. Then she realized the manga was still going, and she sort of went "Wait, wtf?" Because it's so long..

It should have ended a lot sooner than it did. All of those fillers, all of those arcs.. it was just too much.

Clau_goddess, I didn't say I didn't like it. ^-^' I love the series, it's just not my current favorite right now. I've watched so many other anime since then.

Inuyasha is what got me into anime. I saw two episodes of it on [adult swim] and was instantly hooked. I hated watching it on TV though because the episodes were so inclusive (would end in the middle of a battle) so I bought the first 54 episodes right after seeing those first two episodes.

Three years and nearly 3,000 more episodes of other anime later I still love the show but haven't gotten past the first 72 episodes. I hear the end of the series is pretty bad with fillers and other crap, but I'm fine leaving the show unfinished. It was great in the beginning and a subpar finish doesn't take away from the experience I've already had.
