are all patronuses animals?

harry's is a stag
hermione's is an otter
tonks' is a werewolf i suppose
dumbledore's i think is a phoenix

is there a chance someone's gonna get a non-animal patronus? perhaps, a thing or something?

also, does voldemort have a patronus? can he conjure one? if its a matter of skill, i think he can. but then again its the kind of magic required. it feeds on a positive force. voldie is full of negative forces.

I can't think that Voldemort has any happy memories, except maybe the day Dumbledore told him his a wizard. But then again mybe he is a happy chappie in his own evil way.

JK also said that a patronus is an anti-dark arts device.

unless...

...harry potter has powers the dark lord knows not of....

voldie will be defeated by a patronus?

I am not sure. Very good question 0-o....

I know you patrouns can change because of your feelings but i don't think it's anything other then animals.

I think they are always animals. Afterall, they are almost always described as moving in someway... I can't really see a chair charging towards a dementor. Smile

It's a good question, I think they all are animals though. Maybe there is something about the animal that represent the wizard that casts that patronus? I don't know, but it would suck to have like a caterpiller as a patronus. If my patronus was as something as weak as a caterpiller, I think I would join LV so I wouldn't have to cast one and embarrass myself.

Luna's patronus is a rabbit! Smile
I think Voldemorts patronus would be a serpent. Y'know cause of Naigi.
Definately i think. It's a shame J.K. doesn't mention it; I'll have to keep an eye out about any information.

Yes i think there all animals. Otherwise, I think Harry's patrnous would be similar to a photograph in the album Hagrid gave him of his parents. The stage is too represent his dad's animagus. Y'know cause he changed to be a stag, so Lupin (Werewolf) wouldn't be on his own. Yes it's interesting
Any though?
