WHat can you say about the houses? any info?

I think the houses are well named:

ravenclaw - the smart people
ravens are very intelligent animals, and the smartest birds.

gryffindor - the brave people
a gryffin is a lion with the wings of an eagle. they are very noble creatures

slytherin - the cunning people
sounds like slithering, the movement of snakes. the animal of slytherin is a serpent

hufflepuff - the hardworkers
badger: err... i have no idea what's up with badgers...

then all the more she and ron are meant for each other - weasel and an otter. maybe ron's patronus is a weasel.

although why would hermione's patronus be an otter? any reason why it might be significant to her? im not very good at animals.

JKR said that Hermione is alot like herself and that Hermione's patronus is an otter because that is JKR's favourite animal. Ron's patronus is a small dog almost like a Jack Russell.

JKR said she liked otters and Hermione is a bit like her.

Also, Otters are a part of the weasel family. I like to think it's a bit of R/Hr shipping. Especially since Ron is from the Burrow in Ottery St. Catchpole. Or maybe this part is just wishful hoping on my part.

But of course. J.K. was very smart when she choose the animals to represent the house.
