We'll its never been explained in harry potter, Like harry went to muggles schools so he learned to read from there but what about pureblood wizards where are they going to get to learn how to read and write.

I think that J.K. was more worried about making the series better so she didn't quite worry about how her characters were going to read..... Also, they dont start untill there like 11-12 years of age, so maybe there parents taught them when they were younger!!! Who knows lol

they were taught at primary schools surely there is one in hogsmeade and maybe there parents taught them

actually all younger wizards were taught at home by their parents, it's in one of the books but i forget which one

well mabey there parents told them all of that stuff then the went to wizarding school or i could be wrong but that is what sounds the best on what they would do for somehting like that ok i do not know

I would just like to know what happens to them after they enter Hogwarts. I don't know how it is in England, but here each minor must be accounted for, even the home-schooled ones. They still have to reach certain educational standards in basic subjects. Potions and Charms are not on the CAT tests. Smile

I'm guessing that the muggle world and the wizarding world knows more about each other than they let on to us.
