Ive got some questions about Transfiguration:

- if you can transifgure a stone into a toad, why do people bother to go to the Apothecary and buy, say, toad spleen, when they can just transfigure a stone on the ground into a toad and get its spleen?

- if you can transfigure a stone into a diamond, why doesnt the wizarding community do that and sell it to the muggles so that they can become rich? why don't the weasleys do that?

- if household chores can be done with magic, why is Mrs Weasley busy? Ron says so in Ch6 of SS.

those are just some of my thoughts...

exactly. you can transfigure a stone into a chicken, and eat it. viola! food for the day. maybe you can even transfigure it into a galleon! or transfigure your water into butterbeer?

another question:

how do you think does harry pay for his schooling? i dont think its a question of money, since he has that. but i mean, how? do the goblins automatically withdraw from his account that which ought to go to hogwarts? exactly how do the goblins do that, when harry has his gringotts key with him? at least that is what i think since griphook asked them for harry's key.

i probably wont be hiring elves to do servant stuff... they deserve to pursue other jobs. since house elves are caring creatures, they can work in st mungo's and be healers. that would give them equal standing with wizard healers. then now we can talk about equality between the races.
