What do you think of this list?

Have you read any of the novels listed? I've only read Watchmen and To Kill a Mockingbird.

I've read The Bridge of San Luis Rey, amazing book.

I recently just checked out to Kill a Mockingbird
and I'll probably be a reading a couple more of those,
because some are on the required summer reading lists
for highschools in my area.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

These are both old and modern classics that make great reads.

^^agreed. there were lots of books. that could of been on there.

maybe like, pride and prejudice... you know the classics.

but the ones from that list ive read were:

Best book on there that I read was Catcher In The Rye.

Holden is my favorite character in all of literature.

1984 and Animal Farm are by far the craziest on the list.

i didnt see but is Of Mouse and Men on the list?

I've only read 4 of them, Animal Farm, Are you there God? It's Me Margret, Lord of the Flies, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books of all time, it's a classic. The other 3 are good too. I read Are you there God? It's Me Margret a while ago and i remember loving it. The other 2 i read in school and I don't know how much of Lord of the Flies i would have gotten without the discussions we had in class. Animal Farm isn't one of my favorite books, but the symbolism in it is amazing.

ooo jonathan franzen is on there. he did a reading at my college from his memoirs, twas funny. haven't read the corrections though.

I've read quite a few on the list, too lazy to find them all. I don't see Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. How disappointing.

My bad, I didn't see the Lion, the Witch and the wardrobe. I've read that too, on my own and in school. It's a good book, but i've also read the 1st one in the series and i thought that it was almost as good.

Of Mice and Men should be on that list. It was such a beautiful book. I LOVE To Kill a Mocking Bird.

I didn't really like of Mice and Men. Maybe it was because I was forced to read it for school, though. I think The Chosen should be on it. I love that book. x]
