Shouldn't Harry met LUNA LOVEGOOD before than in book 5? I mean they've been there for a whole week shouldn't Harry've spotted them? PLEASE HELP ME![/quote]

im guessing that with the number of people present in the quidditch world cup, he didnt see her. or rather, ginny didnt see her. it was only ginny, among them, who knew luna.

Well, no, The Lovegoods were at the Quidditch Cup a week before the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione got there. Once at the Quidditch Cup only Ginny even knew who Luna was.

yeah but the campsite is so big and full of people that you are likely to miss other ones out there.
what i was trying to say was that only ginny knew luna, so maybe she met her at the camp while she was not with harry, or maybe she did not see luna at all.

It's like at University... just because you attend the same uni as someone else it does not mean that you know them or will see them.
So the chances was slim that they would have run into Luna.

Yeah, there were loads of people at the World Cup. JKR likes to introduce things and characters randomly, then later we find out that they play a bigger role than we thought.
