wow I really never thought of that but whoever said in an earlier post that she meant for the older readers to maybe pick up the hint and it would just pass by the younger readers as her intention was only a kiss, I completely agree, that could quite possibly be the case, I'm wondering if these books wernt also read by children she would have added it in there, I mean she does seem make a lot of things more innocent or describes things less that how they would probably be in real life

and wow this has been very interesting reading your guys' places ages, last I checked in Canada our consent age is 14... wait no I was actually having a conversation about this a week ago, like a month ago it changed to 15

I didn't know that people from my age group in singapore is already legal to have sex! Haha its amazing how recently in a friend's party where almost everyone was drunk, no one did any hot action lol.

dudes its 16 all over the us as long as both partners are under 21. and if your partner is over 21 you mush be 18+ ie 16 and 20 is legal! 17 and 21 is illegal.

i wouldn't consider ginny a slut if she were to have sex with harry. they have both grown a lot and become extremely mature in the situation that they have been thrown in and if it was the last time she thought she would ever see harry sounds perfectly reasonable to me and pretty endearing too

I definitely think it was meant to be more... JKR masks a lot of stuff in DH as more innocent things. Aberforth and the goats, Ariana and the muggle boys...

Yeah, I think she intended for adults to interpret it differently than children, just like those.

I always thought that Ginny wanted more than a kiss...when I first read that, I was like "Wow, at last a clear refference to sex,let's tell it to everyone !!" (yeah, I can't keep my mouth shut). But when my friends read that, they all said it was only a kiss, but I'm sure it was more. Ginny fell for Harry since she first saw him and that kiss was her chance for more.

i was looking at that list and i noticed that in alot of states, guys are aloud to have sex before girls. but that dosnt make sense to me because guys normally go out with girls that are 1 to 2 years younger then them. especially when were in are teens. and girls mature alot faster then guys(im a guy so thats honest). dos anyone know why they have it that way?

nahh i rekon it was a good bye kiss. a remeber me kiss.
ginny knew that harry has a big chance of dying and that if he did he'd die alone with no1 to hold his hand so ginny was trying to give him a rremeber me kiss........when harry was walking ot his death the main thing he remebered was ginny and it gave harry strength to continue.

- its in the morning and someoen is bound to here the noises or walk in and to tell harry to come down for lunch ect.
- the bloody door wasnt even locked.
- when harry would probably get hunted by the weasley hord if they did it

wow. this is an intresting thread. now that i think of it. i do believe ginny wanted that night to be more. like a lot others said. JKR likes to hide things and this could be one of those things. ya know. and ginny wanted harry to remeber her. i think having sex would be a way to never forget her. like someone else said. you never forget your first time. and for like the door to be unlocked and stuff. if your about to have sex i bet doors would be the last think on your mind. maybe she didn't think about it. your juss to into the moment.

and here in MN i don't think i never heard of an age limit to have sex. we have this law that says teens can get birth control without their parents knowing. i forget what its called. its made for people who want to have sex but are to scared to go to thier parents for birth control. like they can go to a clinic and sign up to get birth control. no parent consent or anything.
