I think the saddest part was when in the beginning Harry went into garden and started to sing his birthday song...That was sad...Think about you have a birthday and nobody congrats you,nobody cares.

i know, and then dudley throwing it to his face that no one of the wizarding world sent him anything
i seriously dont know how harry forgives him for everything later, he's just too good

that is why the chapter is entitled "the very worst birthday".
oh and bery, harry is very forgiving. id be surprised if he didnt forgive dudley, if he was able to forgive snape and malfoy. and if he gave voldie one more chance to live via remorse... he was not actually very keen on killing him. i imagine, if voldie really went for remorse, he'd forgive the guy.

^Well, according to JKR, Harry forgives Dudley, but doesn't forget. (JKR doesn't use the word "forgive" I do) She says they really just send Christmas cards, but that's pretty much it.

yes, i remember that interview, im impressed really, i dont think i could forgive something like that, but of course its just impossible to forget

| how pathetic! i can't imagine myself singing a happy birthday song alone during my birthday. but of course, i do but still it's better if your family and friends are there for you to sing, right? |

It was pretty sad.
He got what he deserved in the end though. Things worked out just fine for HP.
