The part when Harry and Voldemort are in the final battle (y'know when everyone thinks H is dead but he isn't) and Harry explains that the Elder Wand really belongs to Draco??
I really didn't get that part, could someone please explain it?
Thanks a lot!

Draco defeated Dumbeldore by taking his wand away. Voldemort thought Snape defeated Dumbeldore because Snape killed him, but Voldy was wrong. It was taking the wand away that counted as a defeat.

But wasn't the Elder Wand supposed to pass on by murder? And when did Draco take the wand? Was it something I missed in HBP? If I missed it then, yes it does make sense.

I only just noticed that I posted this in the wrong forum, but I still have more unaswered questions concerning DH.

1. In the epilogue it says that Teddy Lupin snogged Victoire, but if was 19 years later and why was Teddy Lupin (at the age of 19 I assume) at King's Cross if he's probably already graduated from Hogwarts?
2. Whatever happened to the Dursleys, McGonagall and the rest of the Hogwarts staff?
3. Who became headmaster/headmistress of Hogwarts?
4. Did Ron and Hermione, Harry and Ginny still remain very close together, in other words did they still hang out often and live (hopefully) nearby each other? I reckon so because their kids know each other very well?
5. What happened to the rest of the Weasley family? What did happen to Charlie and Percy, Molly and Arthur?
6. Did the Order of the Phoenix still exist?
7. What happened to Gryffindor's sword? And the Eldery Wand?
8. What happened to all the houselves at Hogwarts including Kreacher?
9. Did Harry pass on the Invisibility Cloak to either James or Albus?
10. Why didn't Harry ever tell his children why everybody at King's Cross kept staring at him? Surely they must know what he did?
11. Did Ginny or Luna ever complete their Hogwarts education?

I know it's a lot of questions, maybe I've missed a lot of things but these are just the main things that keep popping up in my head

I just answered the Elder Wand question on the phone for a friend who is borrowing my copy of DH, actually.

He came to the station to see her off.

2. Whatever happened to the Dursleys, McGonagall and the rest of the Hogwarts staff?

As far as we know the Hogwarts staff remained the Hogwarts staff. Harry went and got the Dursleys and they were able to come home.

Quote:
3. Who became headmaster/headmistress of Hogwarts?

JKR has not revealed this to us, yet except to say that McGonagall might be getting on in years, too many years to be headmistress. Which upsets me because DD was way older than she was...

I can't imagine them not remaining in constant contact.

Quote:
5. What happened to the rest of the Weasley family? What did happen to Charlie and Percy, Molly and Arthur?

We don't know much, except that Percy remains working at the Ministry at a high positiion along side Shacklebolt.

Quote:
6. Did the Order of the Phoenix still exist?

No, there was no need for it any longer, as Voldemort is defeated and the Ministry is no longer corrupted (well, as corruted as it was).

Quote:
7. What happened to Gryffindor's sword? And the Eldery Wand?

The sword remains at Hogwarts.
At the end of DH Harry returns the Elder Wand to DD. He rests it inside of his tomb.

Quote:
8. What happened to all the houselves at Hogwarts including Kreacher?

We don't know, exactly. But we know they weren't being treated unfairly, and they remained faithful to DD during the Battle at Hogwarts. I'm sure Hermione took good care of them, though.

Quote:
9. Did Harry pass on the Invisibility Cloak to either James or Albus?

Yes, he passed the cloak on to James.

Quote:
10. Why didn't Harry ever tell his children why everybody at King's Cross kept staring at him? Surely they must know what he did?

I'm sure he didn't have to tell them, they probably knew. I'm not sure why you are asking this question... harry ends up on a chocolate frog card, of course his kids know what happened.

11. Did Ginny or Luna ever complete their Hogwarts education?

We don't really know, but we can assume they did, afterall, they still had a whole year left after DH. JKR did recently reveal that out of teh trio Hermone was the only one who graduated, though.

As for your question abotu the Elder Wand, you don't have to gain it's power through death, just by force.
Grindelwald had the wand.
DD won it from him.
Draco disarmed DD on the tower in HBP, so Draco was the owner of the wand, only no one really knew it.
DD was buried with the Elder Wand, since no one knew of it's power.
Voldemort found out and saought it out....
Harry disarmed Draco while in the Malfoy's basement....
Therefore, Harry unknowingly became the owner of the Elder Wand.
You do NOT get the wand simpky by death. Voldemort thought this, that was why he killed Snape. Voldie tought that since Snaspe killed DD, Snape had the power of the wand. But actually, since Draco disarmed DD and lost DD the wand, then Draco had the power of teh Elder Wand. Harry realizes this when the Cruciatus Curse fails to hurt him while he was laying on the forest floor.

Percy...

Tineke: What happened to percy did he return to his job at the ministry

J.K. Rowling: Yes, the new improved Percy ended up as a high-ranking official under Kingsley.

It does... where else would it go? It belonged to the school.

DH ch 36, pg 749 (US ed)
"I'm putting the Elder Wand," he told Dumbledore, who was watching him with enormous affection and admiration, "back where it came from. It can stay there. If I die a natural death like Ignotus, its power will be broken, won't it? The previous master will never have been defeated. That'll be the end of it."

I read this in an interview somewhere, I'm trying to hunt it down for you.

Lecanard: Will we see Harry and his friends having their own history on chocolate frogs cards?

J.K. Rowling: Definitely, and Ron will describe this as his finest hour.

Pottercast, part 1

It's long, so I put it put it in a spoiler space....
Spoiler:

SU: Oh, (MA:Well, did...) speaking of Ron and Hermione-

JKR: Yeah, did they graduate from Hogwarts?

SU: Yes. Did they?

JKR: Harry and Ron didn't go back. Hermione did.

SU: (gasps) Ooo!

MA:Oh my-

JKR: Did you bet right? I mean, come on, nobody's going to think Hermione wouldn't go back.

SU: I predicted. Yeah.

JKR: Of course she'd go back. She has to get her N.E.W.T.s. Ron was really done with schooling (laughs). I think that (SU: Yeah.) it would be kind of tempting to go back just to mess around for a year and have a break, but he goes (JN: Yeah.) into the Auror Department. He's needed. Anyone who was in that battle the right side. Kingsley would want them to help clean up the- I mean anyone who's old enough to do it, who's over age (JN: Hm.), but Kinglsey would have wanted Ron, Neville, Harry, and they would've all gone, and they would've all done the job. And I think that would've been a good thing for them too, because to go through that battle, and them be relegated to the sidelines, I think they would've felt a need to keep going, and finish the job. So that would've have been rounding up the corrupt people who were doing a Lucius Malfoy, and trying to pretend that they really weren't involved.

SU: Wow!

JN: Wow. Yeah, we had all been thinking perhaps these big complicated- Well we always over complicate things. Like (JKR: Yeah you do (laughs) do that.), they do this distance learning kind of thing (JKR laughs) where (JKR: Kwikspell course!) they finish school from home (JKR: (laughing) Yeah.). Yes, exactly.

MA:Yes.

SU: And with Filch.

MA:We were imagining Hermione on the back of the dragon on the Deluxe Edition doing her N.E.W.T.

SU: Yeah we did!

MA:You know?

SU: It was funny.

JKR: No, she would definitely, definitely go back. And she would want to graduate, and I think that she was- I mean,I love Hermione. She went with Ron and Harry because she has a really good heart. That's not about brain. Ultimately, she had a bigger heart than she had a brain and that's saying something for Hermione. But did she- Was she naturally drawn to battle? No, she wasn't. She's not a Bellatrix. She's not a woman who actually wants to be hurting, fighting, killing. Not at all. She would be glad to go back to school, be glad to get back to study, and then would join them at the Ministry.

Yeah me 2. When R/Hr and H/G get married anyway, cause I read that Ginny was signed for the Holyhead Harpies but then retired to start her family.
