i was thinking maybe before the school year snape (i think he is good) was told the whole "fake dream trap" plan by voldemort. then he went and told dumbledore who assinged harry occlumency lessons. its jsut another reason snape could be good. _________________ esrdfjykgdkuyrfk
Snape is a person, in my personal oppinion, that you would have to be like him to like him unless you look really deep.
I think he has good deep down inside and lets it show in the last book, I mean he does have a certian amount of honor consifering the fact that he saved Harry's life even though he hated him, though his hate was unjust.
Thus I think Snape is alittle good but mostly bad till the very end.
i think snape had to kill DD in B6 in order to stay close with Lord V, it kinda makes sense and in B7 he will help harry after learning where the other horcruxes are or sumthin similiar.

I was sure that Severous was a good person from the very first book, even before Quirrel said that he saved Harry at the Quidditch match. I dunno... I just... knew. I guess it's because he fit the stereotypical bad guy description so well. In a series like Harry Potter, people like that usually have layers or aren't who they seem.

JKR said on TODAY interview that Snape is not good but brave because he absolutely would not have rescued HArry or cared about him if he hadnt been Lily's son so he is"immensley brave" as she said but not that good. Before i saw that interview I thought of him as good but now I realize what she said is true... he is sarcastic, rude, slimy, and mean. BUT BRAVE. I'll give him credit for that.

Well Snape must've really loved Lily and Harry to go and risk his life and lie to Voldemort like that! And he must've been good at what is called.... Legilimency to fool Voldemort like that. _________________ HP & LV= DEAD
He didn`t love Harry. He helped him just because Dumbledore asking him to. and because of Lily.
And he IS good. He might just as well said to Dumbledore "go to hell" when Voldemort killed Lily but he stayed and helped Dumbledore to protect him. _________________
