I think more and more people are thinking about a harry & hermy ship because they have seen the movies too many times
None in the trio are that good looking, especially not hermy, and in the movies ron's faults are muchly exaggerated, so people are getting used to seing ron as the idiot, which is not the same in the books, even if he's not as smart as hermy
harry and hermy wouldnt match, it seems to me as though hermy is introverted and harry isnt that outgoing either
it would be a very quiet ship _________________
You are up there!
I don't think Harry and Hermione were ever going to end up together, Hermione likes Ron to much, and he likes her. So Harry would never do that to his best friend. But even though she hugs him all the time and stuff, it is seen that she likes Ron. _________________ Dan Radcliffe is soooooo freakin HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing you have to remember is while Emma is hot, in the books she wasn't as much (she was still good looking, but not on the level of Emma). There is another thread somewhere talking about how Ginny should have been better looking in the movies. Of course you don't know how the little kids are gonna grow into their looks, so that can't be helped.
Look at it this way. Ron was the underdog, always living in Harry's shadow. In the end Ron ended up with a very special gal. If instead Harry got Hermoine then Ron would have been the shadowed underdog throughout the entire story and in the final chapter we might have found out he ended up with someone... but would it have been the same? No.
Since Harry is the main character of the series it was ALOT easier to have a romantic focus for him other then Hermoine. If the story dealt with the romantic budding between Ron and another character it would have detracted from the main story to much. By having Ron and Hermoine get together, the underdog still wins in the end and it doesn't draw away from the main story.
So while Ron has EVERYTHING that Harry has ever wanted, you think Ron should get more? No, Harry deserves happiness, and it doesn't show he get any happiness with Ginny, but when he's with Hermione he is happy. While when Ron and Hermione are together it never ends good.
Ron lets himself be shadowed, that him. I know that if he was so selfish it would be a problem.
Giving Ron a different character outside of the trio would have given the story more deepth, and not been the easy way out.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron are a trio working together to take down evil. Along the way Hermione and Ron can hold onto each other while Harry branches out and leads the way. This defeats the third wheel that Ron would have been if Hermione had gotten with Harry.
So lets make Harry the third wheel.

After the third book, couldn't people see that Ron and Hermione were being matched up?
Just because we seen them be matched up, does mean we wanted it, and you forget it also showed us how cliche it was and all the reasons why they made a BAD relationship which kept building until the end of the books.

And what's even worse is people who think Hermione is great for him because she was like Lily. Does every aspect of him have to reflect on his father and mother? Can't he have any tastes in girls that are different from his father? And really I don't think they were that much alike either, maybe some qualities but as far as personalities go, they weren't anything alike to me.
Yeah, not everyone thinks that, and you can forget all the people who are like OMG Ginny = Lily, just because it doesn't fit in to your theory.

harry/hermione... ew...
it was like obvious from book one it would be ron/hermione.
people just think harry/hermione would work because harry is the main character, and hermione is like one of the second main characters, so people automatically go for those two.
i'm glad it was ron/hermione. it was like it was actually thought out instead of jkr just going "well i've gotta put some romance in there somehow... oh i'll just do harry and hermione that's the easiest way"
Ron and Hermionr thought out that's a joke. It was shallow and easy. If JKR choose to write HHr it would have been between the lines, and deep and meaningful, like their relationship what already.
well i've gotta put some romance in there somehow. = R/Hr.

ron and hermione complete each other... nobody else had more chemistry with her
Chemistry isn't fighting and hurt eachother.

Sorry no, I hate the movies, and so do alot of HHR shippers, your theory doesn't work.
In book 7 Harry and Hermione were just so awkward with each other. It was Harry's friendship and Hermione's love for Ron that kept them together. _________________ Yas and Simmy - putting Luna on catwalks since 2008! If I had an otter I would call it Harryp
The problem that I have with the HHR ship is that it implies that
a) the lead guy always gets the lead girl
and more importantly
b) it's impossible for men and women to be best friends without being romantic with each other.
I pretty much second everything that Rindaris said, adding that if Harry and Harmione got together than Ron would essentially be pointless (I am not implying that Ron has no point in the story other than snogging Harmione; the thing is that both Harry and Harmione have /very/ strong personalities, while Ron is a bit more subdued...I can't imagine the group have good/any dynamics if Harry and Harmione were paired together)
Ron and Harmione's constant fighting, it's JK's...attempt at writing chemistry. She's a brilliant writer, but romance is not her strong point. The fact that they fight with one another sometimes gives their relationship more depth. Chemistry isn't fighting and hurting each other, but chemistry is also not "I wub you! I wub you moar!" perfectness
^Ron and Hermione didn't always fight and hurt each other. They were more kind to each other, than not. They fought because they were both so headstrong. Ron was so immature while they were in school and that certainly didn't help. But as they both grew and matured, they ceased fighting as much and started being more an d more considerate of each other. _________________ ^made by Fiendfyre

I know there's alot of Harry and Ginny/Ron and Hermione shipper's but i've always hoped for Harry and Hermione to be together....In the movies and in real life...

I am also for Harry and Hermione. I know I can't change it, but I think they would have been better together. I though the Harry/Ginny ship was ridiculous with how sudden it was (and sort of superficial), and I don't think that Ron and Hermione are that great together. He makes her cry half the time, and not very sensitive at times. I do admit that Ron/Hermione would make a more interesting ship, but interesting doesn't make it good.
i remember in the end of the 2nd movie that hermione hugged harry while shakin ron hand .. !! i think that made sense that she has no feeling for harry except friendship ... becoz most of time you are more comfortable with the guy who u dun love..and a bit shy and nervous with the one u love or like.. thats wut i think.. Hmm.. I really don't think Harry and Hermione would work out...
Exactly. Hermione is unhappy without Ron. I don't think she'd be as sad if it was Harry going off without them. _________________ Yas and Simmy - putting Luna on catwalks since 2008! If I had an otter I would call it Harryp
Oh, geez. Yet another AMG LEAD GUY LEAD GURL !!11 thread.
AHEM.
From one point, we have Ron Weasley, who has been getting hinted from the third book that he will end up with Hermione. Who got jealous when Hermione was with Krum while Harry barely cared. Who made Hermione jealous at boox six with Lavender Brown. Who's worst fear is that Harry and Hermione end up together, of all things. OF ALL THINGS. Who kisses Hermione, and according to someone who's views are much more valid than anyone's in this forum - Rowling - ended up together with, with 2 children. All these things seem to fade in front of the UBERLEETOMGPEWPEWLAZORROXORZBOXORZ - kiss on the cheek - Hermione gave Harry once, in some book, at some chapter, in some page. And in front of the UBERPEWLEETLAZORZ - hugs - they used to exchange. Because when I hug my friends, I really do want to snog them! Yes, I do. It makes much sense, does it not.
This thread could go on for YEARS and YEARS. R/Hrs would try to persuade H/Hrs to see the true point while H/Hrs would try to persuade R/Hrs to see that Rowling's opinion doesn't matter at all. Nobody will ever back off. Nobody will ever say "Hey, man. Yeah, I see your point, I used to be a H/Hr shipper but you make a point, you make some sense, I agree with ya." Or, "Hey, man. I used to be R/Hr but H/Hr looks good now because your point is good, man." Nobody will ever change his opinion. The same people that have chatted about this subject in dozens of threads in dozens of forums will say always the same and same thing; H/Hr support H/Hr and R/Hr support R/Hr, but nobody is willing to change their opinion.
WHICH MAKES ME THINK.
Is there really a point in threads like this? I mean, wtf. If Harry should have ended up with Hermione is none of our business. It is Rowling's business. She took her decision as an author, and whether we like it or not, whether we feel like damn psychos about the fact that Hermione doesn't get her Pimpi-Bear Harry in the end, we can not change it, no matter how much we whine on some forums.
AND THEN YOU WILL REPLY, TRUTHFULLY.
"But who says we want to change it? We're just saying our opinion. Dude, piss off, you suck, you don't know nothing, H/Hr is really good." If you are saying your opinion - which is really fine, since I posted mine already in all 592529 "H/Hr > R/Hr???" topics on this thread - then it would as well be a bit logical. I'm not going to ask you to have the "correct" opinion about which couple is best (Although R/Hr rocks your socks ), but at least stop twisting the facts from the books to try persuade people about how great H/Hr, R/Hr, G/N, Sn/L is. I can't stand it when I see posts like...
"harry nd hermyine r alwys happy 2getha but ron nd hermoiney (yes, the name slaughtering is intentional) r alwys sad becuz ron makes hermoune sad all teh time and because tehy r ment 2 be 2getha". Tell me, dear fellows, how can I not flip out and post replies that are bigger than many fanfics in www.fanfiction.net?
You tell me.
