Okay, I know I didn't word this very well, but try and hang with me, okay?....
We know Hagrid was expelled in his third year, so he was 13.
In CoS, we experience a memory that took place 50 years ago, the year Hagrid got expelled. Soo, in CoS, Hagrid was thirteen 50 years ago, making him 63 in Cos.
Let's assume that in that same flashback Voldy was fifteen. That would make him 65 in Cos.
I know it doesn't make any difference, I just wanted to point it out...

WEll, as Jo has pointed out before, wizards live longer than muggle. In that case, 65 really isn't that old. It's like middle-aged for them. On top of that, Hagrid is half giant. How does the aging process happen with giants? Do they live longer and age over a longer period of time?

ok... the title says "kind old men".. never knew how voldie became a kind old man.
but yeah... theyre old men, in muggle years, and in their late middle ages, in wizarding years. the old men are slughorn, and even older, dumbledore

I don't think Voldemort had much time to age because he was always in a "spirit form". Hagrid is half Giant, things like age won't effect him much, just like some spells.

this makes a lot of sense. coz mcgonagall is younger than voldemort... i think she was in first year when he was in fifth year... but she aged... or maybe she didnt... she was referred to as a "black haired witch"... not gray haired... and nothing was mentioned that she looked old... so maybe witches and wizards dont age as easily as muggles.

I think she was actually supposed to be younger than Dame Maggie Smith. Most of the actors are older than their characters are supposed to be. Just look at James and Lily. But I can't imagine anyone else playing McGonagall.
