I was completely shocked when Tonks dies. When Lupin enters the RoR along with other Order members/friends from Hogwarts he responds to the question about lil teddy saying that hes with Tonks safe elsewhere...I forget. But I distinctly remember him saying Tonks was WITH the BABY...taking care of it. Not coming to fight. Then at the end of the battle Tonks is lying next to Lupin dead....wtf, did I miss something????

Yeah, you missed a page or two. When Harry comes back to the RoR to find the diadem horcrux, he finds Ginny still in there with Neville's grandmother and Tonks. Tonks said she left Teddy with Andromeda (her mom, Teddy's grandmother). Harry tells her he saw him fighting and she runs off to find him. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate. ~ Bob Dylan "To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. Make sure two of your pages didn't stick together. =/

yeah. i didnt like jk's choices for death... well i had seen snape coming... but i didnt like her killing off lupin and tonks and not killing more weasley members... _________________
Tonks death diodn't bother me much. To me she was just another character that was a good person. Lupin's did though. I almost cried. But I was confused with the sasme thing, thanks for clearing that up.
I probably did read it, it just didn't stick with me.
well for me, more of lupin than tonks. i did expect lupin to die, but not tonks. but i didnt expect lupin to die when many other people survived, like percy and arthur. to me, they were more likely to die than lupin. _________________
*sigh* Pointless, pointless, pointless. At least JK should've given Lupin a heroic death not a "oh yeah him too". _________________

I thought it was strange/stupid that their deaths were treated as an afterthought. They were important and popular characters so we should have at least seen them die.
