I hope that they elaborate as much as possible in the movie epilogue(which they have to show). A lot of people had a problem with the long ending of the 3rd Lord of the Rings, but after the journey I had watched onscreen over three years I was happy with the long ending and I hope they do the same with the HP epilogue. Heres to a 3 hour movie(atleast) and a 30 minute Epilogue.

What are your thoughts?

i think 30 minutes is a little much. 15-20 min. would be good

30 minutes might be a little long, but i definetly hope that they make the epilouge long and not just a short 5 min. one. We're gonna have to wait a long time to see that on screen, so it better be good! Very Happy

Yeah, the wait better be worth it! It's the last thing we'll see of the Harry Potter series... the books are done, the Potterpedia will be out by then, most likely... so if that epilogue scene is the last new thing we see of the series, it better leave a good lasting impression on us. Or they will have many upset fans on their hands.

I think they're going to cut it or if they to it, it will be even worse than in the book.

I do agree the epilogue should be a lot longer than a small 5 minute things, but not as long as 30 minutes. I'm also wondering who'll play them when their 19 years older. I can't wait for that movie!

They may simply make them all look older with makeup, and such.

yeh, but how much can they do? the epilogue is only like 2 or 3 pages or something. i mean, what else can they do besides set their children of to hogwarts?

I'd enjoy a 15-20minute epilogue, but seeing as I have to wait till 2010, it'd be the greatest thing I've ever seen

15 mins epilouge would be great after all its the ending of one the best book series ever so surely they cant make it a 5 minute job?

for the epilouge i want them to just do the trio up in make up and costumes.

i dont want anybody else playing the characters. it just wouldnt be right.

The same actors should be in the adult roles. Heck, by the time the DH movie roles around, they pretty much will be adults. The last couple of movies have put a lot of work into making the kids appear younger than they really are. All they have to do for the epilogue is the reverse, and their appearances will be believable.

I think the epilogue was a bit cheesy when I first read it, but now I like it a lot. and I understand why it was the way it was. I think it would be a shame not to have the epilogue in there. If the movie ended before the epliogue, all the fans of the books would be sitting in the theaters stunned.
