Was it me, or was she excessively out of breath? Too many takes or overkill? I've never noticed anything like this from Emma Watson before, so I get a little bugged when I get to that scene.

oh i dont like emma watson anymore. she used to be good in SS and COS... bushy hair and know it all and stuff... she had that air. now, she just looks plain annoying. she looks like she's worried all the time. it annoys me.

i don't know
emma's natural hair color is blonde so she would have to colour her hair to brown every 2 months, and her hair would be disguisting....i don't agree with you, emma can't be a little girl with bushy hair forever.... Rolling Eyes

They could give her a wig. So many people have worn wigs in movies . . .

Personally, I think she uses way too much facial expression.

i agree, she did sound out-of-breath or in a rush or something. and i dont like how they made her burst into the scene like that when she ran up to hug harry. it kinda scared me. like first you see harry walk into the room and then BOOM! hermione's all of a sudden on his shoulders.

I took it that they were panicked to see Harry that she was in such a state that when she ran to him it was just the emotion!

Maybe Hermione is being portrayed as someone with bad asthma now >.>

Okay maybe and hopfully not. i seriously doubt that its Emma's fault really. I dont think she would do that on her own. It was something the director wanted so she had to do it. I think maybe possibly that shot was meant to be taken further back. My main reason in thinking this is in theater, you act bigger because people can't see you as well because they are further back. So maybe if the director had this vision of it being further back, then it could fall on the movie editors on being at fault here. But over all i dont think it was Emma.

There are so many scenes that indicate Hermione and Ron have just 'done it'. Take this one for example. Her and Ron were alone in a room together, Harry walks in, they both look flustered and Hermione is out of breath... Put two and two together, people!

She might be getting to a higher acting level but over-done herself? Maybe she doesn't know when enough is enough? Razz

Hermione's out-of-breath and flustered-looking, Ron's relaxed and has that goofy grin on his face when Harry just walks in...

Yeah, I'd say something was up with those two well before the kiss. lol

It was one of the worst scenes in the movie and one of the reasons that in my mind it has a "PHAIL!" tag on it. Emma should really not do a scene if she's not prepared. And Yates is such a rubwork. He put a scene like this in the movie and expects people to enjoy it?
