| Right on. That's excactly how book fans should act. My hats off to you. |
And just how should "book fans" be? Are you insinuating that all "book fans" should hate movies based on said books? |

I liked the movie. of course there were some things I didn't like but overall I liked it. and its top at the box office according to imdb and has a 6.7 rating there. not bad at all. _________________

^Who sounds stuppid
To Arabella: Of course there is going to be a good turn out when it is made after a big book. I was talking from the word of movie critics, not book fans. DON'T TAKE OFFENCE AT ANYTHING I SAY.
To Mr. Slave: I LOVE YOU PROFILE NAME.

It was mediocre at best in my opinion. Pretty effects, Daniel Craig almost made it worth it (at least for me), but as a fan of the books, it just made me giggle to think of the hole they dug for themselves by neglecting to even mention two key characters.
Anyway, it seems unlikely that they will make The Subtle Knife or The Amber Spyglass into movies, since The Golden Compass bombed so badly in the box offices (I don't think it even broke even considering all the expensive effects). |
