its kinda ironic that voldie died because he did not intend to kill lily. imean, its not like voldie. voldie would kill anyone, esp a muggleborn. but he did not think of killing lily. it was that which bourhgt about his downfall. had he intended to kill lily, lily could not have provided harry with a protection. had she not given harry the protection, harry would be dead and voldie alive. its kinda ironic that voldie dies when, for thei first time, he did not think of killing someone like lily.

i think that he didnt want to kill her because Snape, who i believe loved Lily, told Voldemort that she could be of use to him....

i am inclined to think that he did not want to kill her since that would anger snape. and snape is a valuable ally.

ya he does. and voldie also knows the consequence of letting go of snape. snape is too clever. probaby the smartest of his death eaters.

that is really ironic. lol...good catch.
It's obvious he gave those few minutes of allowing her to attempt escape for Snapes purpose, as it is written that he told her to get out of the way if she wanted to and whatnot.

he wasn't going to kill lily because snape begged him not to. i know that he's voldemort and it wouldn't seem like him to be that nice, but u gotta remember at this point he had more of a soal... so yah...

What if he would have just killed Harry first? Then we wouldn't be in this huge "The Boy Who Lived" nonsense.

but that was a crucial part. It was mentioned in The Prince's Tale... that Snape did not want Lily dead, and that he begged Voldemort not to kill her.
