I did not like the film because of some HUGE casting mistakes and how some characters were portrayed.

Where can I start with my dissapointment.

Some of the actor casting are way of eg Sirius.
It is too dark, I know the book is dark but the whole film is dark even the happy parts. They cut things I thought was important. Dubmbledor is grey and lack the twinkel in his eye.

I only really watch the movie because
I'm a huge Potter fan. I just pictured the whole movie differently.

I don't know about ya'll, but this film left me feeling empty. Personally, I would have sat through a four to five hour film if it was done with most of the book in it. They left so much out of the book, that I was constantly trying to figure out where they were in the book, at which part. If you didn't read the book, you'd be lost, and if you did, you'd be disappointed. I felt totally disappointed, they really could've done a better job on the film.
The things I didn't like:
The change in castles, the dark nature of the film, hated the dementors and how they portrayed them flying through the air. They glide above the ground, not fly. The choppiness of the film. Personally, I really wanted to see Professor Snape totally knocked out with his head hitting the roof of the tunnel. They totally left the firebolt out until the very end, and we only know that Sirrius sent it because of a feather of Buckbeaks.

I did like when:
Hermoine hit Draco, when Harry rode Buckbeak and all the scences with Buckbeak.
They really could've done a better job on the movie. I'm feeling the rest are going to be just as choppy and disappointing, if it weren't for my daughter I probably wouldn't bother to see them. She of course is going to want to get the DVD too.

Yes, financially its a success, but it wasn't true to the book. After all, there main audience are children. Not movie buffs like myself.

i agree that they left a lot out of it but what can you do? they have a time limit.

i would have wanted more quiditch and like you said NOT having the firebolt at the end

This was the worst film they made and I hated that JK would even allow it go out. Here's what I thought was so terribly wrong with it.

-New Dumbledore
-New Castle
-No Quidditch Cup (I wanted Wood to win his championship!)
-Firebolt at the end (You couldn't even tell it was from Sirius)
-Whole 'time' thing

But JK has said that the director put things in this film by accident that will make a bunch of sense after book seven so I guess it won't be so bad after that.

well yah, i agree that they left much out in the third book, but on the whole id say it was okay. its my fave hp movie. you cant include everything or else you'll come up with something as long as lotr. the lotr movies are too long.

i liked the part when harry saw pettigrew in the map, but couldnt see the person. it was scary. not part of the story, but a good addition.

i liked that there were a lot of scenes that showed clocks - it gives us an idea of what will happen later, and after all, the concept of the third book is time. i also liked the complicated look of clocks, like so many pendulums swinging, and screws and wheels everywhere. its like showiing how complicated time is.

what i liked in the film:

- When harry first encountered the Dementor at the Hogwarts express
- When seamus, Neville, harry, and ron ate the weasley’s wizard wheezes
- when Harry saw Pettigrew on the map, then tried to follow him, and could see on the map Pettigrew running right at him, but he could not see the person
- when Hermione turned her time turner, time looked so complicated
- when the students were singing “something wicked this way comes”
- when Hagrid was introduced as the new care of magical creatures professor, and mcgonagall asked him to stand up, he was so tall.

I really didn't like the new Dumbledore, he had no feeling! and Flitwick looks awful with his new haircut. I also didn't like it how Malfoy and McGonagall have such minimal parts, they are always important in the books. oh, and I forgot to mention the first care of magical creatures class! the way Nevills book attacks him is kinda stupid, and there are supposed to be 4 hippogriffs!
i did really like it when harry was flying on buckbeak, that was cool!

I have alot to say about this movie!!! I hated the new Dumbledor. He is the worst Dumbledor they could have choosen. Like in number 4 he charges at Harry and yells at him and in the book it says he asked harry Calmly if he had put his name in the goblet. That was my main dislike but it is not the only one.
Another is in the 3rd movie they are never wearing their school robes. Then they don't have the magic that the first two had! Then the grounds completly changed! I hate the way the castle looks and hagrids hut.
Also Sierious and Lupin and wormtail are nothin how I imagened them. Same with the warwolf. It doesn't look anything like the wolf i pictured.
It also didn't have my favorite part. That they won the Quidditch cup.

There is one thing I did like though. How they kind of came in contect with their past selves like how hermione threw the rock and hit Harry.
Well that is what I think about the 3rd movie.

I feel the same, Dumbledore is terrible! The book is so much better!

The Director gave them to much freedom. The whole Hogwarts area changed. The Great hall, Whomping Willow, Hogwarts grounds,

just blah. I was expecting everything to be new. The great hall looked smaller..

uhm for me,
i didn't like the film that much.
and this i would say would be the "least-like" movie of harry potter.
so much have changed,
why couldn't they stay the traditional way?
and so many scenes from the book are removed.
my rating: 5/10
