*but anywho, about the HARRY & VOLDE thing*
I've found some stories too.. there was one about Hermione and Draco and the Room of Requirement..lol.. aside from becoming perverted it was actually a good story.. i couldnt ever find it again *ironic* but draco had like a cutting problem..because his father was such a jerk about everything and he was worried about serving voldemort..and hermione helped him and they fell in love and draco turned good.. i liked it |

I've actually found more Fred/George fanfictions than Fred/Angelina stories. I was looking for F/A stories and kept stumbling upon the twincest stories. Horrifying. Haven't seen any Ron/Ginny stories, though. Can't say I'm dying to read those. Voldemort/Harry is bad enough...

I think people who write those things are abused. I worry about them. How can you just wake up one day and decide okay I think I will write a story where siblings have romantic relations. No, I think those people need to get profesional help.

yeah i don't like any of those either..
from book four (i read that one first) i though hermione+ron would be final. then i read the first book and wham ginny+harry. got a little sidetracked in the sixth with Luna, but i think it would be funny her to be with neville, but i think JKR ruled that out. and he doesn't seem very fond of her. lupin and tonks are cute and fleur and bill, knew it on fourth book too. weird yeah..
for non cannon.. i find lily/snape interesting. we shall see. i liked the whole mcgonagall and dumbledore. was cute.
good lily/snape? i read some in astronomy tower and in fanfiction.net but they're very hard to find. try for one shots. i find them more well built then the chaptered ones

lol. well. i try to avoid the twisted stories. but i have read a few, and they were seriously disturbing. one was a fred/george story, and its like that is just wrong.
but i do like fan fiction.

Fan fiction has a way of turning your way of thinking around....
I read a Fred/George fan fic and at first I was like WTF?! but then I read it properly and its really well written and its about how in love they are and how they cant be together and in the end their family abandon them and George stops eating and eventually dies and then Fred kills himself, I almost cried.
But then I snapped back to the real world and thought about it and its still kinda...ew, twincest.
But its still an amazing fan fiction. I think that its ok in fan fiction form as long as its not just blatent porn.
But Fred and George I can kinda understand why someone would dream that up but... Harry and Voldy.... wow.

There are some really disturbing stories out there. I've seen hagrid and blastended skrewt pairings. Ewwww
I've seen the Twincest ones too. gross. I personally wouldn't read it but if you think about it VC Andrews Top Selling Flowers in the attic series is all about incest. Apparently people want to read about it. Weird but there it is.
I think that fiction is a way to jump into a world of all the taboo stuff without being seen as crazy or twisted. It's like a car crash. Everyone wants to slow down and watch and hear who died and all the gory details and then they go home and chat with friends and family and talk about how sad it is. Same with some fiction, they can read about the weird, twisted, or disturbed and not be so themselves.
I could be wrong though.  |

i'm really happy, that not all fics are so...so...AWFULL!! my fav fic is a trilogy about Draco by Cassandra Claire ("Draco Dormiens,Sinister, Veritas") - its probably the best thing i've ever read!!!
