Oh man, was I addicted to this game. About 3 times over the past few years, I would spend several months playing this game whenever I had free time. Most recently, last spring I played a ton. Luckily, I've been remembering to log into most of my accounts regularly so I don't lose everything again.
I almost exclusively play with Sorceresses, and I only do PvM. I got a few friends that I've played with. Basically, I just get to low-mid 80's and then do magic find runs or other random stuff to hoard loot. This last time around, I built my first Paladin. I did a Smiter to use on the Ubers. He worked out great for that purpose, but sucked otherwise.

I only got to play the first Diablo. It was a bit boring.

D2 was so much better than the first.

if anyone wants to add me im fire451
i havent been able to play much cuz im a mommy now but i occasionally go on to keep it open or blow off some steam. theres nothing like killing monsters so you can shop 
i usually play assassins or necromancers druids are okay also but i try to stick to those 2.

Few days ago i put together a char lvl 81 Zon ladder.
Kino,its basically you are a character and you can have up to 7 allies in one game and you have to do quests and kill these minions. Your main objective is you have to get to Diablo, kill him then get to Baal and kill him (two last bosses) and you do it 3 times. Which are 3 different difficulties...Normal Nightmare and Hell.

same thing happens to me i play like hardcore for a few months then stop.
unfortunatly my account expired not long ago but i normally used hammerdin's, smiters, auradins, etc... mostly paladins but occasionally a zon maybe whirlwind assassin

I read somewhere that the release date will be annouced over summer, and will probably be coming out sometime next year. Supposedly a member of blizzard said this. Also the story line is something with a fight between heaven and hell, you can enchant your weapons with either dark or light abilities...
It says it hasn't been officially confirmed but most likely.
