Ok, first to start off me and Treehugger14 have been planing to do this for a little while. It would just be a simple club where each week we can read a book, then discuss it over the weekend.(like a book club) (well I was actually thinking every 2 weeks)

anyways...we just came up with the idea because we really like talking about books we have just read with people and maybe something like this could show people books they normally wouldn't have read. It would just be a place where a few people that have read the same book over the last week or 2 could talk about the book, what they thought about it, and if they liked or not and why.
Kind of like how we discuss the HP books, but since the series is over we were thinking that people might be looking for some new good books to read and we thought this would be a good chance to find some and talk about them.

What I was thinking was that we could split whatever book we pick in half then read one half one week, discuss it that weekend, then read the rest of the book the next week and discuss the rest that next weekend. If anyone has a good idea on discussion dates just talk to me, but I was thinking Sunday cause that's when me and treehugger see the most people on.

if anyone is interested in the idea at all, just PM me or Treehugger14 and tell if you can suggest some good books to read. Thanks to anyone who might join! (just so you guys know I won't be here at all this weekend, Nov.30th to Dec. 2nd so make sure to PM treehugger14 then, cause I won't see it for a while!)

***edit: just so the people who are busy know, they can still join and just talk about books they've already read or just read the ones that they want to. It's not the kind of thing where you'll get kicked out if you don't participate every week.***

(oh, and about the weird club, we kind of gave up on that, I don't think we thought about how similar it really was to the random club, so yes while that did sort of fail, don't judge us by that. We should have come up with a better name for that club and stuff...)

Ok, for the first book me and treehugger were thinking about doing a book that's a bit more well known, so we picked Eragon. We were thinking that we could have the first discussion either this weekend or the next, whatever's good for other people.

Eregon is a good book. I'm free this weekend. Are we going to have and openning discution on what we've heard and thoughts on what is to come in the book, and then read? Or what.

I was thinking that we could have the discussion all of this next weekend, that way people have this week to read or review the book. (I don't think that many people really joined though)

Even if it's only three or four of us it should be fun. Do you think we should set it up so that we take turns when we post our thoughts so that it isn't like some of the big RP threads that have four people posting at the same time and the plot gets all mixed up, or in this case the discusion.

Why would it get mixed up??? The way i perceive it is that we will post what we think about the book and what is to come, and also any questions people may have, but, how will any of that get confused?

I think he just means so that we don't have a bunch of questions then answers that we don't know what question they go to and stuff like that.

I think that can be prevented though with the quote thing. Just quote if you're answering a question.

Oh, well okay then. But, yeah, just use the quote thing and there will be no probs. but, i mean, if there are only four people, what are the chances of all 4 of us being on at the same time?
