I love harry potter. Not just the series, but him. However I strongly think harry will die in HPDH. Am i the only crazy person who thinks this? Confused

I really hope he doesn't but JK said if she kills off Harry there can't be other books, from her or other authors.

I really think he will die...i mean J.K. Rowling has shown us that she isnt afraid to make us weep a little to achieve great writing and i dont think she will hesitate to kill off harry. She said that this was the last one anyways so she doesnt really need to keep him alive. Crying or Very sad

I think harry will die....Because personally I dont think you can just end a book without knowing what the amin character will do or what will happen...

proof that he is a horcrux

1. the sorting hat wanted to put him in slytherin when he has no slytherin qualities in him - that is because the sorting hat saw voldie's soul!

2. harry can speak parseltongue! im pretty sure voldie transferred more than just his powers to harry. its his soul. i think the powers reside in the soul, not in the body.

3. he can sense voldie's emotions, we see that in book 5 when he has dreams of voldie and when his scar hurts. that is because there is a bit of soul there!

proof that harry will die

1. if he is a horcrux, there is no other way.

2. trelawney keeps saying that harry will die. well, here's a rule: if she repeats it, she means it. that is one of the rules of constant vigilance.

3. he was among those who mrs weasley saw dead, through her boggart.

4. when 13 dine, the first to rise will die. in POA, during the christmas dinner, harry and ron first stood. we dont know if ron will die, but im positive harry will.

5. perhaps those who can hear voices from beyond the veil are doomed to death. in the ministry, only neville, luna, ginny, and harry could hear the voices. neither ron nor hermione could.

I do believe that harry will die... because he will have to sacrafice himself..

But than again think about the prophisy, There is a posibilaty that he may live... ONe has to live for the other to die, right?

maybe Harry will die.
thinking of the possiblity that the 'main character' doesn't always die, instead they succeed, maybe this would be different to Harry.
it seems so impossible that he would live, but basing on the past events, he almost died or someone had to die for him - maybe he will not die.
i don't know, i'm confused. Rolling Eyes

Yes. I do believe Harry will die in this final book. I would rather him not die but you must end a good series somehow.

I think that he is unfortunately going to meet his end in the final book. Like JK said in an interview that if she kills him off then that removes the possibility of anymore authors writing more books. That's financially speaking. Secondly he must die because of what halfbloodprincess said-the predictions, the horcrux, everything fits. Here's what's gonna happen, either Voldy kills Harry and Neville lol kills Voldy from behind. Or Harry kills Voldy and is mortally wounded in the process. Those are my predictions.

her comment on killing the main character so nobody can steal them for more stories, well that kind of makes me think Harry lives. Why would she be worried about it if Harry dies? can anybody give me the context she said that in?

I think both Harry and Dumbledore will die, they will kill each other at the same time. It will be sad, however if JK doesn't kill him she will be honded for the rest of her life to write more.

Also I don't believe Harry is a Horcrux!!! Sorry Halfbloodprincess, I simply don't believe it.......
