In case some of you dont know, recently the Harry Potter Lexicon website has stated they will publish a HP encyclopedia and our tied up in a lawsuit with JKR. Do you think they should be aloud to publish the Lexicon or do you side with JK? I personally think JK is in the right. She has stated that she will most liklely publish her own encyclopedia and Im sure it would be much better than anything the Lexicon(website) can produce sense they only know what she has told us. HP is JKR's and they didnt even ask permission. I hope JK wins the lawsuit and prevents the books publishing.

They definately have no license to publish any book with anything HArry Potter. I love the lexicon, because it is extremely useful for finding information in a hurry. I commend the makers of the site for their hard work, but they are way out of their league here.

Yea, I think the book would be kind of cool, but thats JK's information he can't just go sell it for his own profit. I hope JKR wins the lawsuit to.

yeah it would be AWESOME if a hp encyclopedia released. i'd be first in line Very Happy

lol but hellz no is anyone but jkr is gonna make it.
ive heard in interviews that jkr IS planning on some sort of encyclopedia on her own. no other company better not make it, it wont be the same!

I thought JKR's encyclopedia would only include info that wasn't in the books, do any of you know if it would also have the information that was in the books.

i wonder, where does lexicon get its money to publish an encyclopedia and to engage in a lawsuit?

the most lexicon can do is publish known facts. let jkr publish the unknown facts, like her notes on, say, hogwarts, or the other peripheral characters.

however, if jk wishes that lexicon not produce such a thing, then lexicon should respect the wishes of the owner of harry potter

the lexicon was gonna publish it through RD books or something like that. RDR? but the court has ordered the publication stopped until further notice, after they decide who wins.
