I use to watch it in English but i am starting to like the Japanese version better. I feel like i am being educated in a new language without taking a class. I noticed there were times when i wouldn't have to look at the translation because i understood some of the words. Shocked

So what language do you prefer your anime in ?

I have no preference because I like both versions because I read them both.

So I had to choose other sorry if it ruined your results.

I agree with ThE_DaRk_MaRk, allthough sometimes I like the english. I also feel a little bit like I'm learning some japanese (or hoping to) when Iit is in japanese.

^Oh yeah they do, have you notice that naruto doesn't say "believe it" as much too.

I like japanese, because I want to learn japanese.

would you could you in a plane, would you could you in a train!

ahahahahahaha

anyway, i prefer english dub, but if it's japanese, that's okay too. i dont mind subtitles, and i like to hear how it was originally intended to be!

the only reason i like japanese versions more is bc american dubbing is sometime just awful... funimation does a good job but others i wish to puke... however when i watch the japanese version you see it as it was supposed to be.

Ash was played by girl....

and i love Pokemon...

In a lot of anime, girls play guys. Their isn't anything wrong with it, but i guess i can see how you are uncomfortable with it if you think about it constantly while watching it.

Definitely Japanese, because English versions are sometimes Americanized and censored, and whatnot. Kind of butchers it...
For example, in Sailor Moon, original Jap version, Haruka and Michiru are lesbian lovers, but in the English version, they're....cousins...(because America simply
can't have lesbians ...[sarcasm]). Well, heh, in America it was kind of set to be a kid's show, but hey-

cousins ?

i like my anime in english, coz i prefer listening to reading. this is excluding the fact that the dubbed version may some times be a bit different from the original versions.
I mean i prefer avatar coz its in english, but at the same time i wont like it when bleach or naruto was dubbed. full metal alchemist was very good in english though.

Depends on which anime. Most of the time, though the English dubs suck, such as with Naruto. But sometimes they're pretty good. Such as Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakuso.

The original language is always the best, because the mouth matches, the culture matches etc. I can watch Disney movies in Norwegian, I won't die, but I prefer the English version. As I said in another post, I would rather die than seeing Japanese anime in English.
