Pansy's pretty sure that her "solid" place with Draco is underthreat by Ginny. Pansy is "fishing for information", and trying to get a reaction from Draco.
JKR distracts us by giving the next lines to Blaise - it's not Draco who calls Ginny a Flithy mudblood.
Draco insults Ron, Harry, Hermione, but never Ginny - in all six books. It's subtle, but something's up between Draco and Ginny, but only from Draco's point of view.

If Draco decided he had to date a pureblood, do you realise how few girls there are in Hogwarts, who are "pureblood"?
JKR says 25% of the intake of Hogwarts is Pure. So out of Harry's year, of 40 students, that's only 10 who are pure.
Draco/Crabbe/Goyle/Ron/Ernie/Daphne Greengrass/Lavender Brown... and I'm trying to think of the last 3.
Note: In all probablity Pansy is faking it... she's no pure blood.

yeah, I don't think pansy is pureblood either, but doesn't slytherin only accept purebloods though so she must be if she is in slytherin, hmmm, I confuse myself

I thought that to begin with. But there aren't enough purebloods for this.
There are 40 in each year. 10 students approx would be Purebloods.
Definite PureBloods
Ron Weasley
Crabbe
Goyle
Lavender Brown
Stephen Cornfoot??
Quennie (Daphne) Greengrass?? - Slytherin. The only Pureblood female.
Isobel MacDougal??
Ernie MacMillan
I'm assuming Draco Malfoy
Which means there's only 1 Pureblood left.
Which infers, Pansy, Zabini, Nott are all faking it. They're Slytherins, but not Purebloods.

I was kind of dissapointed in who they got to play sirius.. he was sposed to be a VERY HANDSOME man.. and not that this guy is ugly or anything.. he just isnt what i'd expected..thats all
