Are guests allowed in House common rooms? I thought you had to be sorted.

maybe tht was someone who was a member but got banned later... wen ur banned it shows as 'guest'

no because there was a member long ago named "Guest" who was Gryffindor.
The reason for that "Guest" is because the account of that member was deleted.

The "Who's Online" list is not overly accurate. Don't worry, guests cannot access the Common Rooms. This could be listed because the search engine spider or human guest tried to get into the Slytherin Common Room forum, it doesn't mean that they were in there.
