Omg, me and a bunch of friends watched this Halloween night, soo creppy, I mean it wasn't even scary, just really really gory =/

Who else thinks that movies now in days is mostly gore, then scary?

i do and i hate that.

i remember loving horror movies because of the adrenalin rush you would get when michael myers' face comes out of the darkness, or when carol anne is talking to the white noise in the TV

now its just gore and how disturbing can u be? i mean if you want gore great!! freddy krueger movies are wicked gory but they had a plot... and were genuinely scary.

(now theyre cheesey) but at the time they were very scary.

we have the cgi and technology to make a truly scary movie and we cop out by making movies like... saw, the hills have eyes, grindhouse, and any other movies involving torture and gore.

i was actually saying the other day that quentin tarantino used to be a great writer director balancing gore correctly but lately he too has made crappy movies.

so in conclusion i completely agree that hollywood has forgotten how to give quality horror movies and have replaced talent with shock value

the last two kinda scary movies i've watched were signs and the village. other than that all the newer ones suck. all gore, no rush. mostly no "oh my god i just crapped my pants", today its all " oh my god, i just saw that guys brains"

I haven't seen the 2nd one yet, but me and my friends watched the 1st one this summer. Ugh...it wasn't scary it was just so gross. The scene in the trailer after the guys ate that bird...it was so gross. Not a scary movie, but it still grossed me out.

All types of movies rely too much on CGI, which makes the movie lose it's value.

Yea, me and my friends are probably gonna watch the 2nd one though, just to see what happens. I know what you mean though, all the gore is really annoying.
