In the book when Fred and George try to break through the age-line to put their name in the goblet and wind up growing beards they laugh it off and are just as happy that they tried and wound up with funny beards as they would be if they had actually suceeded. In the movie they start fighting with everyone cheering "fight fight fight." I don't know why but that kinda sucked and didn't go well with their personalities at all.

Finally, someone else who noticed this.
It didn't make any sense. In the book they burst out laughing when they se eachother. The movie had them to the EXACT OPPOSITE of what was inthe book. It was completely disgraceful. There was no reason for it. It was a very poor decision made by someone and the fact that everyone else went along with it is just incredibly dumb.

I just assumed it was playful rough housing...they didn't actually seem angry with each other.

It was supposed to be real fighting, not just rough housing. The director cracked a rib trying to get the actors to make the fighting more believable.

They should have let Rowling do the directing. Then we wouldn't have these problems.

Haha, she'd be prefect. She does have a say in what happens, I just wish she had even more.

Seemed fine to me. They can't get along 24/7. Blaming the other for the error is common sibling behavior.

The problem is, it's the exact opposite of the books. In the books they certainly don't blame each other, because there is no reason to. They just laugh their situation off. In the movie they physically fight each other, and there is no reason to. It makes no sense and it is completely out of character.

You guys are blowing this out of proportion. I thought the fight scene was way better than them just being fine with the beards. I thought the fight was funny. Everyone chanting fight was a little stupid but the fight was funny I thought.

It was just play fighting.. nothing more or noting less.. it looked like play fighting.. Rough housing as someone up there said..

Honestly I don't think it was supposed to be a real fight..

I dont know about the rest of you but it is funny as hell when siblings fight as long as things dont get too serious. You can always look back and laugh about brothers fighting. I have two cousins who are brothers and one time we were playing some pick up soccer when the older of the two brothers scored. While raising his hands in the air the younger bro speared him from behind and then took off running so he wouldnt get beat up. I still crack up over that one.

I think its just there for laughs because if you've noticed thats what all the directors have tried to do since columbus left after chamber of secrets.
