This is a suggestion to keep sig requests and sigs in organization. I think we should have a GFX Team. This team would have like 2 or 3 Mods that Mod Hogwarts Gallery Section (Just that section. No other sections in the Forum.) and keep everything in order since most Mods don't check the section to see what's going on. Also this will keep everything very organized. Everyone on the GFX Team will be the GFXers that will make sigs for people when they request one on the Official Requests Topic. If you could think about this it would be great. Thanks.

Well, I suppose Dar could make a group but i don't think they need moderator abilities. If there are any problems in there you could always report it to a moderator or Administrator. _________________ Peace is a lie. There is only passion.

i don't think GTX users will get admin/mod privilliges.
But i do like the general idea of a sig team on PF _________________

Not at all. This is for a GFX Team. That guy wanted a separate Forum made for Art. _________________

Well, like I said before, I don't really see the point in having a team. I think it would do more damage than anything else. I think people would be offended about not being on "the team" and I think the issue of sharing sig requests would divide that team anyways.
I think, however, that it is clear that we need a change in the gallery section.
First, we need to do away with the Sig Request thread. It seemed like a good idea at first, but it's not working. At times, there are multiple requests and discussions pertaining to those requests going on in the thread. People also make multiple requests multiple times, and it's confusing.
Second, I think people should just be allowed to make ONE sig request thread PER person. If they want another sig later on, they can find their old topic (unless it's like 5 pages gone) and post in it again. If a person wants to request a certain artist, then they can post in that artist's gallery topic if he/she has one.
Third, we should keep it how it has been - anyone can pick up a sig request and make one. If two get made for the same request by accident or whatever, then it's simply the requestor's choice.. with no hard feelings.
As far as mods - I think the current moderators just need to peek in there more often. There are multiple users who make the same requests in different topics, or post in other topics saying "please do mine" sometimes. And I feel like a tattler when I push the report post button for someone who just wants to get their sig done. _________________

Hmmm I'm iffy on this.
I see your reasoning behind it and it makes sense, however, who gets to decide who's on the GFX team?

I didn't know it wasn't working. Uusally I just skim stuff b.c I dont have a lot of free time.

Yes, I agree with this.
Please don't feel like your tattling when using the report button, it really does help us mods. Even if your iffy on it, we can check it out and its fine we just delete the report, no harm done.
Any suggestions on the sig issues? Maybe start a poll for this thread. _________________

As Phoenix said, who would get to choose who is on the GFX team? And what would be the criteria for their choices?
If there is a GFX Team, my concern is that this will turn into an elitist club. The whole idea sounds elitist and pompous.
And if there is a GFX team, then would others be allowed to continue making sigs?

Is this the first time that the mods and admins are hearing about this? Was this "GFX team as mods" idea put together without even informing the mods first that posters were unhappy with the disorganization? Because it seems to me that now that the mods are aware of a problem, a team of "GFX mods" will be unnecessary. _________________

Alright as I said before I wasn't sure about GFX Mods. The mods would be the ones we have now, Mike Massacre, Moody, Phoenix, Dar, DM, Lore, and PG. Also this is not an elitist idea. I do not believe that this should be ruled by an elite. (Nice word, had to look it up on dictionary.com to learn it lol.) Also people wouldn't be denied the right to be on the GFX Team. As I said, I don't believe in denial of rights because someone isn't as good as another. I'm not the greatest either. I just think that it would keep the Hogwarts Gallery section in good condition without spam, and keep it in order. To answer that though, the mods and admin would choose who is on the GFX Team, because normal members, such as me, don't have the power to access the Administrative Panel. Any other questions? I did make this a poll as well. _________________

How would it work though by comparison to how it is now? Like now a lot of us have our own gallery type threads then there's the random requests that get our threads thrown off the page. I think the request thread was a good concept but it gave us the freedom to ignore requests, which I would otherwise feel bad to do.
So how would the Hogwarts Gallery function with a GFX Team? _________________

I've been watching this thread since the beginning, and allowed people some time to post their thoughts before I posted my opinion. I strongly oppose the idea of a GFX team for many of the reasons previously stated. I believe that such a team would be exclusive instead of inclusive, and would have some significant negative repercussions, especially in the Hogwarts Gallery forum.
Based off of your feedback and suggestions, I'm open to changing the rules and basic format used in the Hogwarts Gallery forum. Below is a list of my recommended rules based off your suggestions and my ideas. Please post your thoughts and suggestions on changes. In addition to these new rules, more moderating time will be given to the Hogwarts Gallery forum to enforce the new rules and make the transition smooth.
Hogwarts Gallery Forum Rules:- Only one request topic per member.
- This topic should be used for all requests including signature images, avatars, and any other graphics.
- Additional requests must be posted in the same topic.
- Any extra topics will be deleted.
- Bumping topics is prohibited.
- Request topics must be titled in the form of "Requests: Username" (i.e. Requests: DarMonkey).
- Be respectful of artists. They are donating their time to help you out.
When posting a request please use this form (it will make it easier for the artists):- State if you want a signature or avatar.
- The general idea you want for your sig or avatar. The more detailed the better.
- State a certain color scheme you would like if you want.
- What text do you want in the image? What do you want it say? Do you want your username in it?
- Supply links to any images you would like the artist to use.
Artist Rules:- Anyone can take a request and make an image.
- Only one gallery or shop topic per artist.
- All graphics created by an artist must be posted in this one topic.
- Any extra topics will be deleted.
- Bumping topics is prohibited.
- There will be no "You stole that request" accusations. If users want someone specific to make thier sig this should be done in a PM.
- There will be NO fighting, especially arguments about whose sig was better.

The "Official Request Thread" will have its first post edited to refer to the new rules, then the topic will be locked, but not deleted. _________________

Thanks for clearing everything up Dar. I completely agree with the rules 100%. I think that more moderating time should be put into the topic, such as you stated. Also I would just like to say that all members should be informed of this change. This way people will only post one request topic. Also, is there anyone can delete my whole Kino's Request topic in the forum. Thanks again Dar and all the mods and members who replied to my idea. _________________
