...how have you not heard of the Odyssey? its classic Greek literature. Basically its about Odysseus and his journey home, and all the obstacles he meets along the way.

I've already had my fill. I pretty much know all I need to know to pass the class with ease and tell stories to my children when I get older.

The odyessy strecthed on and on and was cool because of the different creatures and people.
The Illiad was cool because of all the sweet battles and warriors Smile
Troy is such an underrated movie

I had to read in 9th and 10th grade.
It is a classic, I have never read the Illiad though.

I like The Iliad better. The only reason I read the Odyssey is because of the way the Iliad ended. What were you thinking Homer, you can’t end an epic with a funeral. Lol. I was never a fan of Odysseus either so maybe that is why.

I would love to read although I'm between series right now. I have tried once but it was a bit long for poetry. Wink

You are right, I do like the movie Troy but I hated on how much they changed and took off, the main thing is how they mispronounced Menelaus's name to "Men Allow Is".

i read a dumbed down kid's version years ago. i don't think i could read the proper one though because i could barely finnish the kid's one it just seemed to go forever! and just when they were on their way home another bad thing happened and by the end i just wanted it to finnish. although at that age i didn't have a much shorter attention span so it might be worth another shot.
