It actually makes sense to me. I could never really picture Dumbledore liking a girl at any point in his life, or a girl liking him for that matter. And my friends and I have had an ongoing joke about his and Grindelwald's relationship. "Please. 'Plotting to ensalve the muggle race' is just code for 'having sex behind the bleachers'."
And him being gay doesn't change his relationship with Harry at all. Gay doesn't equal pedophilia. Nor does it mean that he still isn't an amazing wizard.
And I'm sorry but, what sales boosts could she possibly need? She's already the richest woman in England. It's not like she's desperate for money or anything, so I don't get were all of that is coming from.

Just a post to let everyone know asap. but she is a GREEDY bitch. If she wasnt, she wouldnt have spent over two million $$ to sue an indian company for a replica HP castle that the country did for fans, not profit. ( she lost the lawsuit btw )

This is ridiculous, anyone who's read the books knows two things that clearly justify why we didn't find out in the books, we know what Harry knows and we only found out about DD's past in DH and we still don't know much. JKR clearly intended on this being one of DD's secrets and though it further explains the relationship between DD and Grindelwald there isn't exactly a way of including it unless it was blatantly obvious. Though I could imagine Rita Skeeter including it in her book.
Also stop slagging JKR off, we(well I at least) like her for her writing not because she's a good person.
To be honest his sexuality is only important to die-hard fans who want to understand DD more and so the reveal is actually well timed, because if we had known before the DH release DD would have lost some of his mystery which was an absolutely necessary part of the DH storyline. _________________
