I decided to start this as many people don't know about these questions.
The firsr one is about Lupin.
Sirius thought that Lupin was the spy, he must have told James and Lily that right?
Lupin was not at Harry's christening- why? Was there a row in the friendship at some point?
In OOTP when Harry was asking questions Lupin was looking at Sirius, staring almost. Is it that Sirius knows a secret that Lupin is keeping from Harry.
Is this Secret why he never tried to contact harry before POA. I know you will say that DD wanted Harry to lead a normal life but what about after he turned 11.
And why did Lupin not come out and say that he and James and Sirius were best friends? He only said it in the end. He even acted like he didn't know who the makers of the map were. ( this is form the book, in the movies, it's different)
So those are some questions for you to ponder.
NOW ABOUT THE LOST DAY ( This is nothing to do with Lupin, I just thought I'd put it in one tread)
At the start of the book Dursley is going to work and seeing strange people all over who are celebrating and whispering about the Potters... So they know that Voldermort is sort of dead right. and that's day time... and Voldermort tried to kill Harry at midnight right... so that's already about seven or eight hours.
Then when Hagrid brings Harry to the Dursleys that's in the night... so thats roughly another 13 hours ( assuming that Harry reached Pivert Drive around 9pm) so add them up and thats about 20 hours, almost a full day.
What Happend to Harry during that Day. We know at least that Hagrid ran into Sirius... who gave him the motorbike. but what about the rest of time unaccounted for.
Just incase you were wondering, I got this speculation form mugglenet but I prefer this forum, so I brought it up here. _________________ Remember, Remember, the 5th of November
It has been suggested on muggle net, that the lost day was the period which Dumbledore had to somehow gain access to Harry or that it was a consequence of the nights events at Godrics Hollow. For example, we do not know the rules of the Fidelius charm for which Wormtail was the appointed secret keeper. How did Dumbledore make it possible for Hagrid to get Harry out of the house when it is supposedly protected by the Fidelius charm? Maybe Dumbledore used this period of time to invoke the magic of protection at number four Privet Drive.
Lupin seems a really nice bloke, but with a "chip" on his shoulder.
1. Being a werewolf can't have been easy. He has to keep secret about his condition.
2. He's a social outcast.
3. He fully accepts people don't want him around. eg he resigned as a teacher from Hogwarts, because he knew parents would object to him. He seems to consider himself not safe to teach.
4. He is fair, sensible, and has integrity.
5. He rejected Tonks because he doesn't consider himself good enough for her. He doesn't value himself.
How does that answer your post ?
1. Wormtail was *dead*, so Sirius would blame Lupin. No-one ever considered Wormtail as the betrayer.
2. Sirius knew it wasn't him, but couldn't prove it. Lupin knew it wasn't him, but couldn't prove it. CheckMate.
3. Lupin had his "time of the month", so may have for safety reasons missed the christening.
4. There must have been a trial - the evidence could convinced Lupin. ie Sirius might have actually been guilty.
He saw his best friend convicted and imprisoned. What would you think?
Would you happily admit you were best friends with a mass murderer of some 12 murders or so that Sirius got charged with?
He seems to have had doubts over Sirius himself. He didn't know what to think after Sirius was convicted. Withdrew further into himself, almost like he was depressed.
The same depressed behaviour we see him using with Tonks.
So that why I think he's got a "chip" on his shoulder, because of being this social outcast, he's his own worse critic. _________________ Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
i see lupin as more of the quiet type. he seems to like to keep more just to him self. As for him rejecting tonks one it was cause he felt she could do better but also he felt in wolf state he has no control of his actions an what he might do to her.
I am think alot of thus has to do with him being a werewolf, y did he not contact harry earlyeir, cause he stays withdrawen from the world. the only reason he came to hogwarts is for the wishes an his respect for dumbldore.
I also feel sirius though he was the spy is cause of him bein withdrawn. what do most people think about the quiet guy. why is he like that, does he have something to hide, Is it because he has done something wrong.
horcruxe, you're right in most you said about me. I am surprised you know me so well. Yeah, I knew that I wasn't the traitor, so I though it has to be Padfoot, because he was the only one of us who could be so smart appart from Prongs.I though, also that he was a Black... so he could have been a traitor since beginning-yeah, I was mistaken and because of my new prejudizes I forgot Wormtail. Neither of us could have though that of Wormtail- since he was a enthusiastic and oh so weak guy.I couldn't believe when I saw the truth.
yeah, but i cant believ i never thought of him as the spy he was so weak willed and was the easiest person for voldy to access our group _________________ but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who have leadership thrust upon them ... and take the mantle because they must, to find to their own surprise that they wear it well
And yes, we should have realized that Wormtail because of his weakness and dependance, would be the best chance to Voldemort, so he HAD to be the traitor. We should have though about what'd be his behaviour against the Dark Lord. once he meet with him... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_RCH2m1GUA
Maybe Lupin didnt come to Harrys Baptism because kind of a wearwolf and he doesnt wnana kill anyone...and the only reason he was staring at sirius was because Harry was asking very hard-to-answer questions _________________
