I just told her that when I first came on PF I thought she was a wise old grandma lady... it's kind of a compliment.
but now I know she's not old or anything. infact she's in my age bracket. lol

I'm old... not that old. Not yet.
A lot of bands and singers do that. It doesn't mean that they don't deserve to sing. Most of the greatest singers in history didn't write their own lyrics. And many of the greatest musicians didn't write their own music. That doesn't mean they don't deserve to be praised for their singing or playing abilites. I'm not saying she is great, but she shouldn't be chastised because she doesn't write her own lyrics. And just because you don't think she's good doesn't mean that others don't. That is why it's an "opinion" and not "fact."

Didn't I say from the start it was my oponion and not fact? Sorry if I didn't.
I'm just really sick of her, thats all. I hope she'll run her coarse soon

Creativity, in this case, has nothing to do with it. Plenty of people can write their own music and still not be able to sing or play. In this case talent is what counts. Musicians who can do both very well are rare. And it is all a matter of opnion, anyway.

Well I apologize but I was pretty beat yesterday. Tuesdays districts for cross country and I've had to run 11 miles over the weekend to keep me on my toes. I'm sure you don't give a crap but oh well

I disagree with the band thing. I know PLENTY of bands who write their own lyrics and deliver just as well or better than Mrs.Cyrus

But I just don't see Hannah having that and I do agree with the rest though.
I understand that isn't a stab at me 
I'm still growing as a person, thats why I'm on this forum mostly. To talk to people like you and try to better my ideas and my views on life.
The one I can't stand on that list though is Celine, she makes my ears burn

I figured you had to have heard at least someof those. I wanted you to see, though, that you don't have to write your own music to be considered talented. yes, it's definitely a bonus... but just like some people can write, but not sing, some people can sing but not write. Or play. But you get the idea.
Hate Celine Dion all you want, her show in Vegas has been sold out every night since it opened over 5 years ago. Also, she is the biggest selling female artist in the world. That is why I put her on the list.

Yea, I just find it odd. I'm not a big fan of her voice. I think most people got into her because of Titaniac had such a great soundtrack and people are still doing tributes of that bloody song haha.

Me and my friends watch the show, just because it's so dumb it makes us laugh! her songs are kind of fun to singalong to also, even if she dosen't have the greatest voice, I don't know I think the show is kind of fun though in a stupid way.
