I'm neutral towards Fleur, I'm not a Fleur basher, but she's not someone you'd want to confide in, is she?

Tonks seems a more approachable character, softer, rounded.

yeah but I think that her and bill kinda fit. I mean imagine if bill married a redhead,with fleur at least their kids have a change of not ending up redheads, that'd be too many

Oh No this a disaster i won't have the beautiful Fleur marrying a stupid dirty blood and poor Weasley. I JUST HATE THIS. Bill goes with Tonks not Fleur, Fleur will go good togather with some Slytherin. Fleur was so pretty and i liked the way she acted all modest. I mean she was the vila. And now they are ruining everything. Anyway i feel sorry for her Sad

. The B**** Weasley's are not even treating her right in their own house. She should just go back to Bowbautoms(can't spell the school name.) Stupid Weasleys i would love to give them all a blast of Avada Kadava.

WHAT. Ofcourse he is modest. Maybe all of you here have to see Goblet of Fire (Again) Remember the part when Harry(b****) says" How are we suppose to ask one of them out,when they travel in groups",) Fleur looks at him and smiles whispering in other girls ears,than she throws her hair back in one head turn and starts walking off like a model. Very Happy

Also when they first come to Hogwarts she does her little ballet and bows keeping her head up. (I mean come on people, you can just tell, she knows she is pretty, that is why she does that.)

I must admit, that was one of the most random things I read onwards to the sixth book. I thought I missed something in book four or past books?

I suppose theres something in book seven that ties it all together (like their wedding) ahah hopefully.

At the end of the book when Fleur says that even though Bill's "handsome" face was maimed, she still loves him regardless, that truly won me over...so in short.

I approve. Razz

I think its a good thing.. Although I didnt really dislike her, she wasnt my favourite and I certainly didnt expect her to end up ENGAGED to Bill! They are an unusual couple but I'm looking forward to the wedding (JKR has to write about that surely?) And yea i agree they will have really cute kids hehe Laughing

The point was that Fleur wasn't as shallow as they thought she was. She really and truly loves him. And they were behaving shallow, assuming that once she saw the scars she'd walk out... but she didn't. She stayed and wiped his wounds. I ended up really liking Fleur and felt bad that I had assumed she was a conceited snob.

i like fleur a lot. she's pretty, she knows it. she's a teenager too so showing off or throwing charms isn't a bad thing since she is still young. hermione and ginny made stuff that it's incorrect (confunded mclaggen, went around with him to make ron jealous; wanted to buy love potions and was vicious to fleur) and stll i don't see so much bashing towards her. i actually felt pity on fleur all through book six when she was mentioned. but i didn't believe she would stay with bill after the attack. i winced when i got to that part. i never cried in an hp book and i cried when she just says all that being pretty for both of them. she doesn't care. she's already pretty. she doesn't want another pretty thing like her, or someone who would compliment her and only see her beauty. i think that bill saw through« that and that was why she likes him too. because he sees her inside not just the outside. another thing that people tend to forget about fleur is her complete dismissal of the Weasley's think of her. she knows what they think about her but she still stucks around because of bill and makes all those comments Laughing

i like bill and fleur a lot. especially because we know that fleur isn't shallow (she's just pretty and shows off) because if she was, there would be a mirror in the second task, and not ehr sister (she almost had a fit, knowing that her sister was there) and in knowing about the werewolf thing. she's a half breed too. she understands.

i think they are destined to be together. they look good together....and i think weasley is a very common household name for fleur....i hope they make it....

Did anyone notice in the 4th book, when Bill and Mrs. Weasley came to visit, it said that Fleur looked at Bill wonderfully when Mrs. Weasley was talking about his hair. And then at the end of the book she says she might see Harry again, because she is getting a job. I love how JK does stuff like that.

Well I think I might have figured it out. JKR writes romance like she does the rest of the book. She gives clues and hints without really showing that anyone has any feelings for anyone else. In fleur's case, 1 wondrous look from the girl (not even at Bill) and they are madly in love. Tonks' patronus is an animal (we assume a wolf) and wham she's in love with Lupin. I don't know why Harry's patronus hasn't changed into whatever would represent Ginny...guess he is not in love?

Face it, JKR is hopeless at romance. You just have to assume that these relationships are molding and growing in the background. No wonder she likes fan fics so much...they take care of it for her.
