Shocked You'r joking! I heard, right after HBP, tha it was only going to be about 25 chapters long.

This means that the Telefrag between Harry and LV could be like 3 chapters long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW

I knew that they'd put the book prices up. The UK price is £1 more, but the USA price is approx $3-4 I think?
So we're getting our monies worth then!! Very Happy

It's all those unfinished issues from COS that's put the prices up!!

Great atmosphere though! Very Happy

Its a brilliant atmosphere to count down till the doors open. I practically snatched my copy of OOTP off the attendant and ran break leg all the way home, a good couple of miles lol. No taxi's were available because the book store is in the town centre and as it was a Friday night, all the pissheads were taking them.

Speaking of which I nearly ended up scrapping cos of that! Loads of drunken idiots kept approaching the que and shouting stupid stuff about HP and asking the kids inappropriate questions, poor little sods were terrified. I don't usually like children that much but I got so angry watching their eyes fill with tears and looking all scared I stood arguing with a group of men telling to them get lost and leave the area blah blah. It was especially hard as I couldn't swear with all the little kiddies around!

I hope its not like that this time.

Have you seen on those countdowns, as it gets to about 5 mins to go... everyone stands really near the packing crates.
They get the store tanoys counting down aloud, for the last 30 seconds or so, just like a NASA rocket launch, and then out come the sledgehammers to get the crates open!!

Wicked fun!! Very Happy

Tell me about it. When these books all come out, it's major events in literature history. The lines at the book stores are 5 times longer than the lines at the movie theatres. It's like going to a concert, people are just so excited. I got books 5 and 6 from a book store down the street from my house. They closed off a section of the street so the people standing in line wouldn't interput local businesses too much. Problem was, the line was so long it was backing up traffic for blocks.
I hope this book turns out to be 1000 pages and it isn't called book 7, it's called BOOK 7a, and then later we'll get another 1000 pages called BOOK7b, and so forth.
I just don't want it to end!

no way, that would ruin everything. what i usually do is read the last page because all that usually happens there is the dursleys pick up harry at the train station, but im not gonna do this for this book because its gonna be soo good and its deffff not gonna end that way

i hate when i do that, i always for some reason flip to the last page and read it!!! grr i get so mad at myself for doing that, i think im gonna put like a whole bunch of post-its over the last page so i cant read it. ( im gonna have to do that with the III inheritance book too!)

p.s. there is some wierd rumor going around that the last line of the last book is " HARRY WHERES YOUR SCAR?" pretty stupid if you ask me, and if it is ill be mad
