I agree. I think the whole development of the Ginny/Harry relationship was pretty bad. I think his whole Cho crush was better written. Ginny (at least for me she comes off as a Mary Sue) _________________
I'm not sure if Harry and Ginny are PERFECT for each other...but it was cute in the book. There are a lot of possibilities as to what will happen with the both of them. But one thing is for sure...well, at least for sure to me. Ron and Hermione belong together...I am sure of it!
I think it's a good relationship. They have similar interests, and Ginny exhibits the same recklessness that Harry has. I can imagine them fighting side by side in a battle! _________________ Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus
I can't say I always knew they'd make a couple, like I knew Ron and Hermoine would. But, Harry and Ginny have lots in common, he stated she made him very happy, something he has had too little of. Hermoine has been his friend since their 1st year, she's his bud, not his love interest. She never made him feel that way. _________________ You're just jealous cause the voices only talk to me!
ooh! i love h/g, i think its adorable!
I see the similarities between Ginny and Lily, it makes a sort of parrallel between Harry/Ginn and James/Lily.
I think Ginny is good for Harry, she seems to understand him, and they have similar intrests, like quidditch.
H/Hr is a good couple, but i think G/H is better. Ron and Hermione are obviously going to end up together, i dont see why that would change. Harry and Hermione are best friends, and i think them being together would be weird for both of them, like kissing a brother or sister :S
Before the 6th book, H/G never occurred to me. Honestly, I never gave any of the romantic relationships much thought. JRK would probably say that's just an example of a 'boy' thing. But when it developed in the 6th book, I liked it. I didn't feel like it was out of the blue. Harry has seen Ginny plenty often to have a good idea of what she's like. It just took him a while to put two and two together.
There are two fascinating analyses at the Sugar Quill written by "red monster" giving her analysis of why the Harry/Ginny relationship was going to happen (these were posted before the 6th book came out). The first is a relatively short analysis based simply on literary structure:
http://www.sugarquill.net/index.php?action=gringotts&st=hglove
The second is a longer, much longer, character based analysis:
http://www.sugarquill.net/index.php?action=gringotts&st=hglovered
I would never have guessed that there were so many interactions that could be analyzed. I think she makes a very good case that character-wise, Ginny's charactered is much better suited than Hermione's for a romantic relationship with Harry. This is not because either character is better or worse in any way, just different. It's very long, but I found it fascinating.
Yeah, but I don't think they will get together until Ginny is out of school because in Ginnys last year at Hogwarts Harry Ron and Hermione will be out of school and this is the last book right. Unless, they close Hogwarts.
I have to admit that i didn't notice the whole Harry and Ginny thing until JKR mentioned the beast roaring in Harry's chest when he asked Ginny to sit with him on the train and she went to seat with her other friends. I have to say when i noticed that iwas like WHAT THE HELL?!!! if i had been sitting in my chair i'm sure i would have fell out of it.
But when the kiss happened i totaly just loved it, the way it happened it just makes me smile every time i think about it, it was just not the same as the last time with Cho i just hated that part in fact when i read that part it took me edges to to forgive Cho - that's girly romantics for ya - poor girl.
I mean even Harry was happy for edges about it. Before HBP i considered the whole Harry/ Ginny relationship but it just didn't do it for me, but then after HBP JKR somehow convinced me it would work. _________________ "WAR IS PEACE

I really don't think J.K would close Hogwarts...that'd be stupid IMO
I think she would. Closing Hogwarts would be the best thing to do, think of all the evil and bad things there. People are going to start thinking it is like hell.
Evil and bad things have been happening there since Voldly was a kid, I mean c'mon there was a giant snake living in the bottom of the place. I'd be disappionted if she closed it _________________
I think Harry and Ginny are great because as said before Harry will be part of a family he loves and he will be complete and then if H/R get together the three best friend would all be in the same family and there bonds with each other will be stronger
It Makes sense to me

You do have a good point. But Ginny could also decide not to go back to school like Hermione and Harry and Ron.
Heh I agree remember how she reacted when Fred and George decided they had outgrown full time education? I imagine it would be worse with Ginny, she is afterall an only child.
As for Hogwarts being closed that would be a shame and , i mean it has been oparetional for like a thousand years or something and besides it seem the whole of the wizarding community could be devided using the four houses so i think it would be a massive cultural deal or something, i don't think it would do at all. _________________ "WAR IS PEACE

I'm not saying I would like Hogwarts to close, it is just how J.K. decides. Well, look at it this way. She was giving us hints in book 5 and 6. Umbridge clearly stated that she was there to close Hogwarts, and then McGonagall might close it, she could be trying to lead us the right way, or she could be leding us the wrong way, just to get un confused.
the harry and ginny relationship nauseates me. i felt like he fell in love with his adopted sister or something. it didnt fit. it was also very sudden. he likes her, he likes her, he likes her,...BOOM there a couple and snogging all the time. eww. also, it seemed very fake after they kissed. it only said their words and actions, not harry's thoughts and feelings.
