Hi, my name is Shelly. I'm a 21 girl from Yorkshire in England.
I work running an office for a security company, which is okay...I want to do a diploma in creative writing because I've been writing poetry and other things for a while now.
I have enjoyed the Harry Potter books so much that my feelings of the final book are mixed - I want to know what happens but I don't want it to end. I found this forum on Google because I got fed up with ridiculous arguments on the myspace groups.
I love talking theories, wild speculation and just about anything with a question mark beside it which is a lot in Rowlings world.
Aside from that....I love loads of stuff - I go out clubbing, mostly to rock nights, gaming on Playstation, reading history and listening to all types of music.
I made loads of friends on another forum like this, although not HP related and I hope to do so again

PPS I am a bit quirky, but people get used to it.

When you say creative writing, do you write short stories or aiming for something more of a novel?
You've got the quirky British sense of humour too. You can't go far wrong!! There's some 6 foot New Yorkers on this forum that need to be manhandled, but apart from that, they're cool!

I can't wait to meet them
I wanted to blend into creative more starting with short stories and poems (some I have already written) and move away from constructive writing (i.e. debating, arguing points and finding supporting evidence blah blah)
But like I say I am glad I found this place, seems like more of a safe haven of HP fans. The group on myspace I go on regularly is just a bitch fest and I tire of it. I tried setting up my own group which started out successful but my job and other things in my life hinder me being able to move it forward.
I also have some a theory pertaining to DH but I just haven't had the time to write it all down godsdammit!
If I do, I'll post it on here for thoughts.

If any of your creative writing is HP related, you can post it here to.
Nobody argues on this forum. We do tease, but that's mainly about blue eyeshadow and the boys wearing killer heels, as you've chosen to be a Gryff you won't have such conversation v dubious pleasures!!

Easy mistake about Shishka being female. It's the mini skirt and blue eyeshadow...
The brits are more feminine, playful.
The yanks are more masculine, (well apart from Blue eyeshadow and killer heels). Male Yanks need a good slapping every so often just because they do!
Canadians are intelligent and well mannered.
Aussies are great fun, straight talking and very relaxed.
Kiwi's are intelligent, well mannered, and great fun.
The English is so different that we can hardly understand one another. Yes, we love to take the "mick" out of each other.
No one really knows why, but we tease each other constantly.
