Yep, you've got it.
What I'm saying is only opinion, it's not supported by fact, or written in canon.
And IMHO it's important that I don't present it as a "fact" to whomever I'm talking to.
Hope that helps. _________________ Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. |

ummh, I feel like the Sorting Hat.... *pulls faces*
Going out on a limb, I'd have to say the house will *do* everything it can to prevent Sirius being honoured. I'm sure they considered Sirius as bringing Great shame on the Black family name.
Kreacher is part and parcel of this mischief, hiding photos that dishonour his past mistress, so we'll know who's doing the dirty work.... so to speak.
However, if Harry can remove the charms, then he'd want a painting, but would Sirius?
Sirius was too cool for school, so IMHO that 2 way mirror would be more his style than a painting.

ok thank you =]
What is IMHO ? |
In my humble opinion or something like that. |

Ignore us teasing you. Snape will forgive you for any betrayal.
And Snape saves lives, not takes them, so you wouldn't suffer TOO much, discounting sarcasm, detention and being ridiculed for the rest of your life.

You can still be bad and "save lives"
Robin Hood is my example.
He would steal from the Rich and give to the poor.
He was a criminal but he still did good. _________________ Join Reality Of It All!!! |

interesting example. That's stumped me.
**goes off to ponder**
That example sort of proves both of our opinions. You see, Robin Hood was the good guy. The bully was the Sheriff of Nottingham.
As the poor were being taxed to starvation, well, ummh, he gave them back their taxes. That sort of seems fair to me.
Who's the bigger criminal RH or SN? SN I'd say.
However if you were the Sheriff, you'd say the Criminal.
Nah, I'm with the people!! RH is our hero. Plus you can't beat men in tights. OUCH! _________________ Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. |

I love Snape's character. Hes just not good in my opinion. Even if he does do good. Hes like a neutral. Hes on his own side. _________________ Join Reality Of It All!!!

I am worried about Snape.
Because both sides would kill him given the chance.
Yet, he's critical. Whom he chooses to support is likely to win the war. _________________ Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. |

I don't know about giving Snape that much Props on being "the best" or anything in that matter. He can give an edge to either side he joins. It all counts down to Harry finishing him off. Good or Evil winning the War counts on Harry's and Voldemort's life. _________________ Join Reality Of It All!!! |

.......he doesnt give them a powerful advantage with the Occlumency thing.. i dont know how dumbledor could ever trust him when he had full knowledge that snape could block out his mind. _________________ NAME: Willow Arbol

that wouldnt make sence... because dumbledore was their most powerful weapon.. *which was stated several times in several of the books* I have the theory that he isnt dead... the avada kadavera curse has a blinding green light... who'se to say whether dumbledore got hit or not??? wouldnt that throw the deatheaters and volde off? _________________ NAME: Willow Arbol

i've heard since my last post that JKR stated "Dumbledor is not going to pull a Gandalf..." this tells me that he is not coming back.. which only leave sirius!! i couldnt be happier!!
BUT!! she said she's bringing someone back from the dead.. but she didnt say it was someone who'd died in Harry's time.. could it be one of his parents?? or someone from the original ORDER? are Neville's parents considered to be dead? i dunno... thousand possibilities...but i am SO excited to find out! _________________ NAME: Willow Arbol

she didn't say she was bringing someone back from the dead, she said somebody was getting a reprieve. she said that two people she didn't intend to die, died, and one person got a reprieve. that leads me to believe that this person was meant to be killed in Deathly Hallows, but survived. Not somebody who is already dead.
Also...DD referred to the room with the veil as the "Death Chamber", not anything to do with time. also, veils are worn in mourning. they can be associated with death in that way. and jk said "this person is definitely dead", that means he's not coming back. _________________

The only hope is that we as the fans do not know exactly what the Veil is.
We don't know if even Dumbledore knew exactly what it is and I doubt any wizard could know what is truly behind it.
Because of this, perhaps if you go beyond the Veil you are BELIEVED to be dead, just because no one has ever come back but perhaps it's just some sort of parallel world that entraps your mind and doesn't allow you to escape or attempt escape.
But then again, I think I know one person who escaped from a place that they said no one could ever escape from...
Oh yeah, that was Sirius Black
Escaped by altering his mind by turning into a dog so that his thoughts and emotions were less than human. =) _________________

maybe you meant one person but you said two. easy mistake.
riddleking...do you think him being an animagus will help him escape from the veil? its possible I guess...it might just keep humans in. But I still don't think he's coming back. [/b] _________________
