who do you think is the bravest character?

i think harry is.
he went through everything (the hard parts by himself) and..
Spoiler:

the ending of the last book should prove that he was the bravest person out of them all. he walked to his death. can you get any braver than that?

how about you?

Sorry to dis-agree with you all but I vote Dobby because:
Spoiler:

He dies rescueing them all from the DeathEaters and dies doing so, also on a lot of other occasions he risks his life to save harry.

Harry. I know that a lot of the other characters are very brave, but like what was already said, he walked to his death.

A 17-year-old who can walk straight into his death is pretty damn brave.

i agree with you. well said.
dobby or neville would've been my second choice.

I voted for Harry, but yeah Dobby and Neville came close.
So was Dumbledore...
They all were brave! Smile
I know he isn't up there but I thought Snape was also brave, like him or not...

It was hard choice to make.
I voted for Harry, because that's true - he was the bravest.

Dobby was brave too, for saving Harry time after time.
Sirius and Lupin too, I'm really sad for both of them's sake.

neville or harry...

but i went for neville, who had the guts to go against voldemort right in front of the man's face.

i mean, if harry retorts against voldemort or cowers in fron of him, bows in front of him... it wont make a difference coz he'll be killed anyway. might as well be an asshole. but neville? neville was never gonna be killed anyway. but he stood up against voldemort.

other than that id say its a tie.

McG is pretty brave too.
many other characters are brave, but i believe harry and neville stand out.

Harry and Snape are the only two who could be realistically considered, at least the way I see it. Snape had to work undercover as a Death Eater, with his Occlumency skills being the only thing that kept him alive. He endured hatred from most of the wizarding world, and yet he still stayed loyal to Dumbledore and Harry through all of it.

But really, does it get much braver than leaving behind everyone and everything you love and walking willingly to your own death in order to try to make the future a brighter place for everyone else?

I think Neville was the bravest. he has always lived his life safe and in the last book he had to face his fears and help destroy voldemort. I believe he truely is the bravest.

I choose Harry because like many of you said already he walked to his death for the sake of everyone else, you can't get any braver than that, and at 17. <<<that's just the "big" one though because he basically did many brave things throughout his school years in Hogwarts.

Dumbledore was very close though because he too was ready to die, but in a more forcefull kinda way, but still was brave enough to accept it.

puuleaaase

harry was a sheep

snape was the bravest... to endure everything and to go in front of the dark lord and betray him

or was it narcissa that for years stayed with an evil man so she can protect her son.
