If it weren't for the movies,, the flirting wouldn't be as apparent but w/o the books i wouldn't know there was really anything major going on. I the 2nd book she hugs harry as a friend but can't hug ron because she so <3 him and is too embarrassed.
Spoiler:
In the 7th book when ron leaves, she cries for sooo long because now we know she <3 him and when he comes back she kisses him, so obviously they're together!!! Romantic tention between the two has been growing since they first me and now they have their own children so i guess hermione didn't get so ticked at ron she cursed him ......yet jk lol, although it might happen

You're confusing the book with the movie. In COS book she doesn't hug Harry at all. In the movie she does.
Oh, and when Ron comes back, she doesnt kiss, she starts beating him up because she was so angry he left her. But I think you meant that later on she kisses him, right? _________________ Breathing is optional. Look, Bella, look.
I would most deffenetly say the books, becuase it just shows you so many more times when the two of them are fighting or whatever. But in my opinion it tends to work that way alot, Books tend to give you a more indepth look at things. _________________
i'll say the books because honestly if i haven't read the books and i was to rely on the movies i would believe harry and hermione had something going on.
books definatly, the movies look like they are trying to set harry and hermione up, and the movies are too short to possible have as much little details and hints as the books, especially rons jelously over viktor, the books show soooo much more, and dont show anything between hermione and harry to make us think otherwise... besides that kiss on the cheek in book 4, but I'm sure she knew we were smart enough to figure out that that was because she was comfortabel kissing harry on the cheek cuz she knew she didnt like him that way but she couldnt kiss ronon the cheek cuz shes too embarrased cuz she actually likes him, it makes perfect sense _________________ ~*Mags*~
I don't think the movies show any romantic potential between Harry and Hermione. If anything, the books did that a few times, but unless you were an H/Hr fan, you knew better. Just IMO. _________________
i prefer the books. because there is so much stuff that happens in the books that will be so hard to make into a movie.
like the harry/ginny relationship in HBP. when harry has all those internal battles with himself. and how he keeps having dreams about him and ginny being together, and then ron comes and beats him up. i think these moments will be hard to put into a movie, so that is definatly a downside to them.
as for the ron/hermione relationship. i picked it up in CoS when hermione is petrafied. for me you couldn't really tell until the end. when hermione hugs harry, but not ron.
but overall. i definatly prefer the books.
another thing about the movies...
for the epilouge in DH. will rupert, daniel, and emma play their characters grown up or will they recast those characters?? _________________
i think in the movies it's like a little TOO obvious...except in the fourth movie... in the fourth movie it almost made it seem like there was something going on between hermione and harry....a lot of people i know who haven't read the books were like, "omg! harry and hermione like eachother!" _________________ How many times have YOU read them?
the books sort of went from being subtle to gradually getting more and more obvious, where as the movies maybe aren't as obvious as it was in the 5th or 6th book but they were still quite obvious from the start, so i say movies _________________
