Got any mistakes you've found and want to share, i know i've got a few mistakes but i'll let you share the ones you've found!!!
Remember the Prophecy: "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him... born as the 7th month dies...The Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he has powers the Dark Lord knows not... And either will die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives...The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the 7th month dies" _________________ Mo rules, u betcha
Let me just add that Dumbledore did say that Voldemort marked Harry as his equal because he saw a little bit of himself in Harry. Voldemort choose, not the pureblood, neville, but the halfblood, Harry, who was, like Voldemort, not completely from pureblood parents... _________________ Mo rules, u betcha

Harry went to bed with his head buzzing with the same question. Neville was snoring loudly, but Harry couldn't sleep.
I repeat Neville was snoring loudly, but Harry couldn't sleep.
That makes no sense, he couldn't sleep anyways. Is this her trying to say normally Nevllie's snoring sooths him to sleep?
I believe it was supposed to be and or so. Or she meant to say something along the lines of "Neville wasn't snoring loudly, but Harry couldn't sleep."
That's not a mistake, try this way... "Neville was snoring loudly, but it didn't matter because Harry couldn't sleep, anyway." _________________ Breathing is optional. Look, Bella, look.
As far as the prophecy, I don't think that it was actually referring to any one. As Dumbledore said, prophecies are only fulfilled, because people make the mistake of believing that they are true.
If Voldemort had never heard of that prophecy, then he would have never had a reason to go after Harry or Neville. The point that Jo is trying to make is that the future is not known for a reason. If we know what is to come, then we might try to tamper with it.
Have you read Oedipus? It is an excellent Greek tragedy about what happens when a person tries to fix something that hasn't even gone wrong.
Voldemort made a classic mistake that writers have been warning readers about for centuries. It was this mistake that ultimately lead to his downfall.
Quote by JKR:
As in Macbeth, the prophecy was a "catalyst for a situation that would never have occurred if it had not been made." JKR appears to say that this is her opinion about prophecies in general.
"Prophecies are usually open to many different interpretations. That is both their strength and their weakness."
"Yes, definitely, because I think there's a line there between the moment in “Chamber of Secrets” when Dumbledore says so famously, ‘It's our choices that define us, not our abilities,’ straight through to Dumbledore sitting in his office, saying to Harry, “the prophecy is significant only because you and Voldemort choose to make it so.” If you both chose to walk away, you could both live! That's the bottom line. If both of them decided, “We're not playing,” and walked away… but, it’s not going to happen, because as far as Voldemort’s concerned, Harry’s a threat. They must meet each other." _________________

There are many ways you can spin it so it makes sense, my point is, somewhere in editing, it got messed up. Because what my book says makes no sense. I understand what you are saying, and that is obviously what is meant, but it is still a mistake none-the-less
^ Maybe she compared the fact that one could sleep and the other couldn't on purpose. Maybe it was a sort of foreshadowing to the fact that we would later find out that Neville could have actually been in Harry's position. If Voldemort had attacked Neville instead, it would be Harry snoring and not Neville.
I think that the sentence make sense, and I never had a problem with it. It does seem fishy, though, that she chose to mention that Neville was sleeping soundly and Harry was not. _________________

Yeah, especially since it's Ron that is usually snoring. But she threw Neville in there, it seems sort of random. There is no doubt in my mind that there is some sort of foreshadowing there. _________________ Breathing is optional. Look, Bella, look.
