This is a new Fanfic of mine. It's rubbish, but good fun writing! Hope you enjoy. It's about a girl called Crystal Wolfrain. Ignore my signature, as its not the truth as I havn't found out what house to put her in yet, and she's 11 by the way. The only true thing is the wand and her looks. Harry and co. are all in 6th year (With the exception of Luna and Ginny who are in 5th.. but its not going to be like the 6th book..
Chapter One: The Journey to Hogwarts
An eleven year old girl was frantically searching for an empty compartment on the Hogwarts Express. Tugging her trunk behind her, she passed compartment after comparment, her long black hair flowing down her back. Finally, she reached a compartment that had about six people inside but looked like it could fit another person. She knew these people, as she had read about them a year previously. They were, Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley. Crystal opened the door.
"Sorry to intrude" Crystal began, while they all looked up at her, excluding Luna who seemed to be glued to a newspaper named 'The Quibbler' "But, there's no empty compartments. Could I sit in here please?" She motioned to the empty seat opposite Harry.
"Yes, of course!" Hermione said, smiling. "Let me get that for you!" She tugged Crystal's trunk into a space above their heads.
"Thanks..." She said, whilst taking a seat by the window. "I'm Crystal Wolfrain. It's my first year at Hogwarts. I'm so nervous.."
"There's no need to be nervous. You'll be fine," Ron said. Crystal looked up at Ron, and smiled. Then looked out of the window blushing.
The train had passed lots of countryside, and Crystal was sure they'd been on the train for hours. The Compartment door slid open, and there stood a cheerful, old woman with a trolly full of sweets.
"Anything of the trolley dears?"
"Yes. Could we have a few of everything please?" Harry asked, whilst taking the sweets from the lady and paying her. Harry sat down and started to give out sweets. Time had passed once again while they were all busy stuffing their faces.
"Oh no! I've run out of Chocolate Frogs!" Ron broke the silence.
"Here have one of mine," Crystal said, blushing furiously again.
"Oh... um... thanks" Ron said, also blushing.
Luna finally looked up from her newspaper.
"Aha! Silence means we're infested with Nargles.." She said, as if she was in a dream.
Crystal looked at her confused, while everyone laughed.
"Don't worry. Luna's a bit.. odd.." Ron said to Crystal.
"She can hear you, you know," Neville said.
Crystal gave Luna an apologizing look, before going back to looking out of the window again. Outside was dark and you could hardly see. The moon glistened down onto the lonely countryside below.
"We must be nearly there soon.." Hermione said. And at that, the train made an ear-splitting screech, and was beginning to stop.

Haha, sorry for this rubbish chapter.. I'm not that good at fanfics.. Anyway I hope you enjoyed, and as you can see Crystal has fallen for Ron, even though hes 5 years older than her. And he may have fallen for her even though shes 5 years younger than him.. Ooo.. Lol. _________________

Chapter Two: The Sorting Hat
"FIRS' YEARS, FIRS' YEARS, OVER 'ERE!" A voice bellowed. Crystal turned around and saw the biggest man she had ever seen in her life. Was he a Giant? "COME ON, FIRS' YEARS, DON' BE SHY!!"
Once everyone had assembled infront of this gigantic man. He must've noticed a young boy with sandy hair walking off with the older students and said, "Oh no yeh don'! Get back 'ere! We don' go tha' way! Firs' years 'ave a real treat, they do! Follow me!" He began to walk off with big strides, with everyone running to keep up. They turned a bend and came to an enormous, dark lake, which glinted in the dark night. Upon this lake were a dozen boats or so.
"No more 'an four ter a boat!" He shouted in his booming voice, and took a step into one of the boats, clearly having one to himself. Crystal stepped into one that had three other people in. A girl with brown shoulder length hair, who was shaking so much that the boat was moving. The second girl had blonde hair so long that it was down to her bum, and the third had brown hair that was above her chin.
She merely said "Hi" to the girls and they smiled back.
The boats were moving of their own accord.
"Keep yeh heads down!" the man bellowed as they approached a cave, with ivy drooping off the sides. Everyone did as they were told.
Soon, they reached the end of the lake. Everyone stepped out again and looked up at the castle. It was the most fantastic thing she had ever seen in her life. It was more beautiful than you'd expect the castles in fairy-tales to be. There were little castles pointing up to the sky, some windows had the odd light on.
"Its amazin', I know. I remember the firs' time I saw it.." the man said. Crystal knew he looked evil, but truly was kind-hearted.
"Follow me everyone.."
Everyone followed the ginormous man up to some steps, 'till they reached the castle doors. They opened with a loud creak. Crystal looked up and the ceiling couldn't be seen. There was lots of suits of armour on the walls, and Crystal had the strange feeling they were watching them.
"Hagrid, I see you have the first years" A woman came striding down the stairs, her black cloak flowing behind her. Her face was stern and her eyebrows raised. This was clearly not a person you wanted to get on the wrong side of. "You may go now," She said to the man named Hagrid. "I'll deal with these. Hello, my name is Minerva McGonagal. Deputy Headmistress and Head of Gryffindor house. But you must call me Professor. Now, in a moment, you will pass through these doors, and be sorted into your houses. They are, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Whilst you stay here, you're house will be like your family. If you do something good, you will earn your house points, any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points will win the house cup. Any questions?" She asked, looking at the first years. A plump boy with blonde hair shot his hand up.
"Yes?" McGonagal asked.
"When do we eat?"
A few people laughed at this, and Mcgonagal's lips thinned.
"In a few minutes, once everyone is sorted," she said. "They are ready for us now. Follow,"
She opened the doors to her right and led them in. The older students stopped chatting at once and turned to look at the first years. The room was big enough to be a house, and was decorated with four long tables. Crystal looked up and was amazed by the sight. It was obviously bewitched to look like the night sky, and below it, were candles floating in mid-air. It was beautiful. They came to a three legged stool with the raggiest hat Crystal had ever seen. Behind it there was also another table which was obviously for the teachers. Professor McGonagal got out a roll of parchment.
"When I call you're name, you will come forth. I will place the Sorting hat onto your head, and you will be sorted into your houses.
Austen Isabella!"
A nervous looking girl with red pig-tails sat on the stool and put the Sorting Hat on her head. There was a long pause, and then the Hat shouted,
"RAVENCLAW!"
There was an enormous cheer from the table on the second to right. Isabella ran to the table where she shook hands with many people.
"Ballingham, Herbert" McGonagal read.
The boy that asked McGonagal when they ate, clambered up to the stool. He placed the sorting hat upon his head. There wasn't as long a pause as for Rebecca and soon the Sorting Hat, shouted,
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
The table second to left boomed with cheers, and Herbert ran to it, almost falling over.
A lot of people had been sorted, and Crystal was the last one standing. Before her, Tancred Sycander had just been sorted into Slytherin.
"Wolfrain, Crystal!"
Crystal nearly fainted. She staggered up to the Sorting Hat and placed it on her head. Suddenly there was a voice in her ear, which made her jump.
"Hmm. Where to put you. There's talent. You're a very wise being, so maybe Ravenclaw would suit you? But, no. There's bravery. Better be...."
Crystal was holding on to the edge of her seat, awaiting the answer, with hundreds of faces staring up at her.
"GRYFFINDOR!"
Crystal ran off to the Gryffindor table which was booming with cheers. Harry and everyone else she met on the train shook her hands. She was smiling, but yet she didn't know it. This was the happiest day of her life.
Or so she thought...
