Which is more obvious when it comes to the romantic feelings between Ron and Hermione, the books or movies?

I'd say the books for the most part, but there is occasionally more flirtiness added between the two in the films.

I'd say the books but it's hard to compare because I read the books long before seeing the movies.

This one is hard... Because they added moments into COS and PoA. But they took away thing in GoF.
Then there is OotP. They took away some moments, but added in others. It kind of evened out, didn't it.
I think I'm going to have to go with the books, though. Because Newell annoyed me so much.

Yeah, that was what I was trying to say above. You put it into good words. It was evened out.

Well, it's like I said, in PoA and CoS it was more obvious in the movies by far. But in GoF it was more obvious in the books. So based on my dislike for Newell's job alone I had to go with the book.

The movie GoF, you mean? Nope, the only Ron/Hermione shipping scene was the Yule Ball. And that was why it was so annoying. Through the book before the Yule Ball there were tiny bitty hints. So it wasn't so sudden. But in that movie, it made no sense. If someone hadn't seen the 3rd movie in a while or at all, they might have forgotten that Ron even likes Hermione. During their fight, they'd just be like, wait, he likes her?

I didn't count HBP or DH as being more obvious because there were no movies to comapre them to.

Oh, you haven't seen OotP?

Ok, then, that is why you were lost when I said it all evened out. Okay, here ya go...

There were tons of foreshadowing, about as much as PoA, but less subtle.

1. When she agrees to help him with his homework. That part was in the book, but it was a lot more flirty in the movie than most people imagined.
2 The looks they exchange while unwrapping presents during Christmas.
3. He gets all jealous of Grawp
4. Their duel in the RoR
5. Her reaction when she heard how Ron got them to escape

And I'm smacking myself because I know there were more bt I can't remember much at the time.

They took out some stuff from the book, though. Like how Ron gets jealous when he see Hermione writing a letter to Viktor.

Yup. Also, one of the reasons... well one of the main reasons they decided to foreshadow R/Hr earlier in the films is so that it wouldn't be so sudden. In the books you get more of an idea of the passing of time. In teh movies it moves a lot quicker. They wanted to stick with the gradual change of R/Hr as friends to R/Hr as more. In order to do that without it feeling so sudden, was to begin the foreshadowing earlier.

i guess with their relationship you can show it in different ways... in book it can be more subtle but there... in movie you can introduce the idea without making it constant. XD

I'm gonna have to say the books, but the movies did start hinting earlier in them, but then didn't really do much about it GoF and OotP, so yea the books .

i just think movies cause i remember back in PoA that they held hands for a sec and then tried to play it off which wasnt in the book and then all that stuff in OotP that have already been listed. but then of course by the time it got to HBP it was more noticeable

But there was lots of flirting in OotP. There wasn't that much Ron/Hermione in the fifth book compared to the movie.

Which book? Because in DH he got that book from his brothers that said to compliment witches. He probably took that book way too literally. He did go overboard with compliments in that book to the point that even Hermione noticed it. Before that, I don't think it was too much. I mean, he did compliment her, but so did Harry... how could they not, she was awesome.

Hmmm.... Ok, this is what I think....

In the movie there was....

6. Her patronus

From the OotP book....

A) There is Hermione's patronus, that is only apparant if you research otter... otters are members of teh Weasel family
B) There is that scene from the book they left in the movie, the one with Hermione agreeing to help Ron with his homework.
C) There is the good-luck kiss Hermione gives Ron. It's not so much the kiss as it is his reaction to the kiss.
D) Ron's jealousy when he finds out Hermione is still keeping in touch with Krum... and by doing so writing a looong letter.
E) The perfume her gives her... guy friends don't usually give female friends perfume. They just don't. Especially friends like Hermoine who would have been happy with a book. Her obviously put "guy thought" into it.

That's all I can remember from the book for now.

We'll away A and B, because they get cancelled out since they were in both.... that still leaves three things from the book that did not make it into the movie. However, if you look at my movie list, there are four things from the movie that weren't in the book. Check over my lists, I might have left something out... but as it stands, the movie might have had a bit more than the book, but if so, not a whole lot.

That's sort of a hard question to answer, don't you think? I mean, Ron and Hermione's relationship has already played itself out in the books, and the movie series still has two to go before it's over. If we go up to Order of the Phoenix, I'd have to say that it's actually clearer in the movies, especially POA.
